Nashville will be named as host of the 2030 Super Bowl, Dan Patrick reported on his syndicated radio show Monday.

Patrick, formerly of ESPN and NBC Sports, said on his radio show that he was informed over the weekend that the decision for the 2030 game, “was signed and ready to go.”

Later Monday it was reported by 440 Sports, an independent sports audio network in Nashville, that the mayor’s office had no indication from the NFL that the championship game following the 2029 regular season, was set to be held in the city.

A new Titans stadium currently is under construction along the Cumberland River, adjacent to the team’s current venue. If construction remains on schedule the new stadium could begin hosting events as early as February of 2027.

The new stadium had been rumored as a potential future Super Bowl site.

Inglewood, Calif., is scheduled to host the Super Bowl following the upcoming season on Feb. 14, 2027. The 2028 Super Bowl will take place in Atlanta and the 2029 game is set for Las Vegas.

A Super Bowl in Nashville would be the first for the city. The Houston Oilers moved to Tennessee for the 1997 season and originally played in Memphis before moving to Nashville in 1998 and then into its current stadium one year later.
