Guilherme and Agustin Resch each scored a goal on Saturday afternoon to help the Houston Dynamo earn a 2-0 victory over the New England Revolution in Foxborough, Mass.

Santos’ first-half goal was his team-leading 11th of the season, while Resch scored the first of his rookie season. Jonathan Bond made a pair of saves for Houston (10-6-2, 32 points), which won its third straight game and extended its unbeaten stretch to six straight matches. The Dynamo haven’t lost since May 13.

New England (9-6-3, 30 points) had just two shots on goal in its first home loss since May 13. Goalkeeper Matt Turner made six saves for the Revolution, who took their first loss since the World Cup break.

Looking to build on its 1-0 halftime lead, Houston mustered a pair of shots on goal in the first 15 minutes of the second half, but Turner saved attempts by Mateusz Bogusz and Hector Herrera.

The Dynamo did find the back of the net again, though, as Jack McGlynn assisted Resch, who scored on a header for the first goal of his MLS career in the 63rd minute directly off a corner kick.

Resch and Herrera then blocked two New England shot attempts to keep the Revolution off the board.

New England threatened early, as Peyton Miller’s left-footed attempt from just outside the box was saved by Bond just two minutes in.

In the 28th minute, Miller recorded the game’s second shot on goal, but the chance was repelled again by Bond.

After the Dynamo had two missed attempts in the 31st and 38th minute, Guilherme pushed across the first score in the first minute of first-half stoppage time. Houston’s Ezequiel Ponce had his shot blocked in the box by Ethan Kohler, but Santos fired in the rebound past Turner to give the visitors a 1-0 halftime advantage.

New England owned a meager 50.6-49.4% edge in possession time and took nine corners compared to four by the visitors.

The match was the first between the two sides since October 2024. Houston won that contest 2-1.
