Alec Bohm hit two home runs and drove in four runs in his return to the lineup as the host Philadelphia Phillies evened the weekend series with a 9-3 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday evening.

Kyle Schwarber added the go-ahead three-run home run in the third as the Phillies tagged Rockies starter Kyle Freeland (1-4) for seven runs (six earned) in five innings.

Willi Castro had a home run and Kyle Karros hit a two-run double for Colorado, which had won 9-7 in 11 innings on Friday.

A two-day break served Bohm well, as the third baseman led off the third with his first home run since Opening Day on March 26 to tie the game at 1. Castro’s solo shot for the Rockies in the second inning had opened the scoring.

Bryson Stott and Trea Turner followed Bohm’s homer with singles and Schwarber cleared the bases with his third home run in as many nights to give Philadelphia a 4-1 lead.

Adolis Garcia doubled with one out and Edmundo Sosa brought him home with an RBI single to complete the Phillies’ five-run outburst.

Colorado responded immediately in the fourth. Karros’ double with two outs scored Troy Johnston (single) and Jake McCarthy (walk) and reduced the Philadelphia advantage to 5-3.

Bohm made it the fifth multi-homer game of his career with another solo blast in the bottom of the frame.

Phillies starter Aaron Nola was left with no decision after being pulled with the tying run at the plate with two outs in the fifth. He allowed three runs with six hits and two walks, striking out four.

Tim Mayza (1-1) relieved Nola and got out of the jam.

Colorado’s defense was to blame for the Phillies’ run in the fifth. Garcia went from first to third after shortstop Castro booted a grounder and then scored on Brandon Marsh’s sacrifice fly.

Bohm capped off a 3-for-4 night at the plate with a two-run double in the eighth.

Philadelphia first baseman Bryce Harper exited after the first inning with a migraine. He was replaced by Felix Reyes, who went 0-for-4.

The first pitch of the game was initially set for 6:05 local time but was delayed approximately 25 minutes due to inclement weather in the area.
