A suspect attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at his golf course in Palm Beach County, but a Secret Service agent opened fire after he saw a rifle poking out from some bushes. The suspect, who is a Ukrainian sympathizer, was nabbed and appeared before a court in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday. President Biden thanked God that Trump was okay and said the Secret Service needed more help.
Ryan Wesley Routh has been charged with federal gun crimes. The 58-year-old American is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obstructed number. Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw has confirmed that the suspect did not fire a weapon at Trump or any shots on the golf course.
Reporters asked President Joe Biden about the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, and he replied, “Thank God” that Trump was okay.
Biden also said, “But one thing I want to make clear is that the service needs more help. And I think that Congress should respond to their needs if they need more service people” and more.

Trump’s friend Steve Witkoff, who witnessed the incident, spoke to an anchorman from Fox News. Sean Hannity told Fox News that the real estate investor, playing golf at the course, “couldn’t say enough to praise” the Secret Service and more.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is expected to meet with the new chief of the Secret Service, Ronald Rowe. Former director Kimberly Cheatle resigned after the first failed assassination attempt on the former president in July.
