Tyrese Haliburton a ‘full go’ for Pacers summer camp

Less than one year after undergoing surgery for an Achilles tear, Tyrese Haliburton will be a full participant at Indiana Pacers summer camp later this month.

Haliburton has experienced a rough calendar year after he came away with his Achilles injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals last year on June 22. The Pacers lost the decisive game to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He was also diagnosed with shingles in February, which interrupted his rehab schedule.

“I just started playing 5-on-5 and got shingles and that kind of stopped things for three weeks,” Haliburton said Thursday on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show. “… I just started playing 5-on-5 again as the summer is going on and we have a team mini camp in a few weeks. I will be a full go for that.”

Haliburton, 26, averaged 18.6 points with 9.2 assists during the 2024-25 season then averaged 17.3 points with 8.6 assists in 23 playoff games in 2025.

In five career NBA seasons, Haliburton has averaged 17.5 points with 8.8 assists in 333 games (294 starts) for the Sacramento Kings (2020-22) and Pacers. The Iowa State product, who was the 12th overall selection in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Kings, was acquired by the Pacers in a February 2022 trade in which Domantas Sabonis went to Sacramento.
