According to sources close to the late rapper reported by TMZ, Gangsta Boo and her brother went to a concert in Memphis, Tenn., on Saturday night, where her brother ended up overdosing and needing hospitalization.

The “Stay Fly” rapper, born Lola Mitchell, was discovered dead around 4 p.m. local time. Her publicist has yet to issue an official statement, but she confirmed the news on Instagram with a series of tributes, including Gangsta Boo’s final direct message to her.

Rappers, friends, and fans expressed their condolences on social media for the Queen of Memphis.
