According to a law enforcement official who spoke with The Associated Press, three individuals attempted to sneak into an unmarked Secret Service van in the nation’s capital, prompting Secret Service members guarding President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi Biden Neal to open fire.
The Secret Service stated in a statement that although one of the agents was fired, no one was hurt. The three individuals were observed escaping in a red vehicle, and according to the Secret Service, it sent out a regional alert to the Metropolitan Police asking them to keep an eye out for it.
