Star forward Kevin Durant is expected to be a game-time decision when the Houston Rockets face the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of a first-round playoff series Tuesday at Los Angeles.

Rockets head coach Ime Udoka revealed Durant’s status as the Rockets practiced Monday afternoon.

Durant did not play in Game 1 on Saturday because of a right knee contusion and the Rockets fell 107-98 while shooting 37.6% from the floor.

In his first season with the Rockets, Durant averaged 26.0 points with 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 78 games, while being named an All-Star for the 16th time in his career. Houston finished 52-30 in the regular season matching its record from the 2024-25 campaign.

Durant, 37, has averaged 27.1 points with 6.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1,201 career games (1,198 starts) for five different organizations, going back to his rookie season of 2007-08 with the Seattle SuperSonics.

In 170 career playoff games, the two-time champion with the Golden State Warriors, has averaged 29.3 points with 7.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists.
