Veteran wing Bennedict Mathurin has agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, ESPN reported on Wednesday.
The deal includes a player option for Mathurin, who split last season between the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers. The Pacers shipped Mathurin to the Clippers as part of the multi-player trade that sent center Ivica Zubac to Indiana on Feb. 5.
Mathurin, 24, produced career-best averages in points (17.6), rebounds (5.4) and assists (2.4) in 54 games (25 starts) with the Pacers and Clippers.
The Montreal native has averaged 16.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in 263 career games (110 starts) since being selected by Indiana with the sixth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
