That is behind only AT&T, who began in 1986. … The field includes eight of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking and nine past event champions. … Two-time champion Jordan Spieth (2013, ‘15) will make his sixth start in the event. … Campbell beat Emiliano Grillo with a par on the first playoff hole last year. … Zach Johnson will make his 24th appearance in the event and has made the cut in each of the past 17. … Preston Stout, ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, will make his tournament debut. He has missed the cut in each of his three previous starts on the PGA Tour. Other sponsor exemptions include reigning U.S. Amateur champion Mason Howell, tour veteran Dylan Frittelli and former Illinois star Ryan Voois, who will make his tournament debut. … Campbell seeks to become the first player to successfully defend at the John Deere since Steve Stricker from 2009-11. … Davis Thompson holds the tournament scoring record of 256 set in 2024.
BEST BETS: Ben Griffin (+1325 at DraftKings) enters in his best form of 2026 with four top-20s in his past five starts, including a T10 last week. … Chris Gotterup (+1400) is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 14. His best finish in three previous event starts was a T4 in 2022. … Keith Mitchell (+1800) finished T4 at the U.S. Open and posted four rounds in the 60s in finishing T22 last week. … Keegan Bradley (+2600) is one of the most accomplished players in the field and coming off a T14 at the Travelers. … Jackson Koivun (+2700) is making his professional debut. The top-ranked amateur finished T23 at this year’s U.S. Open and had three top-10 finishes on tour as an amateur last year. … J.T. Poston (+2700) won three starts ago at the Memorial. He followed it with a T4 at the U.S. Open before stumbling to 69th last week.
