Charity work and continuing a number of local initiatives to assist the poor and homeless of Rome, the Vatican opens a new laundry service this week, named in honor of Pope Francis.
Pope Francis has also provided sleeping mattresses that homeless people can use and are able to sleep right in the Vatican. And, of course, he provides food, medical care, as well as showers and other personal needs for many of Rome’s homeless population. The Vatican is a tiny country. There are so many other wealthy cities all over the United States that could do the same. You know how it should go….feed the homeless, clothe the poor…..there but for the least of us…….the Pope should be an example for other religious figures.

Furthermore, President Trump has signaled to China that the US is prepared to take military action to prevent North Korea from acquiring nuclear arms and destabilizing East Asia. In geopolitics, nothing happens in a vacuum.

The prosecution of corruption by high ranking government officials, even years after the crimes were committed, is critical to disrupting cartel trafficking and the violence with which it is associated.
The capture and prosecution of Tomas Yarrington will help restore peace to Tamaulipas. I am hopeful that law enforcement officials from the United States and Mexico will marshal all of their diplomatic resources to ensure that Yarrington is extradited to the United States and that the federal criminal process be allowed to take its course.
