Britney Spears Will Reveal All. Gets $15 Million Book Deal

0

Jamie Lynn recently published her book, Things I Should Have Said, Britney criticized her sister very harshly on Instagram “Congrats best seller…..The nerve of you to sell a book now and talk s**t but your f**king lying…..I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me,” Britney deleted the post soon after on her Instagram.

Will her family fire back about what Britney would reveal in her book?

The Britney Spears tell all book project is set to perhaps reveal all the dirty secrets in depth of her life, former conservatorship, career, and more. Her side of the story was revealed according to Page Six who was the first media outlet to report the breaking news.

In the caption of her post, Britney wrote that she was “immediately flattered” by the invitation to share her story, but that “at the time I wasn’t nearly at the healing stage I’m in now.”

A rep and lawyer for Britney have not responded to requests for comment. Simon & Schuster did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Dustin Johnson latest golfer to dismiss appearance in possible Trump-Saudi Golf League

0

An alternate league called the “Super Golf League” has faced another rejection by a top golfer as Dustin Johnson, who is ranked No. 6 in the world, officially announced that he was fully committed to the PGA. This is the last stroke from the top golf players as there was speculation that he might join as he had remained silent on the issue, so far.

Earlier, top golfers around the world including players such as John Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka had also said that they had rejected the league. In a statement on Sunday, Johnson said, “I am fully committed to the PGA Tour.” This put aside earlier speculation and added one more blow to the not as yet formed so called super league.

The Super Golf League is funded by former No. 1 British golfer Greg Norman along with LIV Investments, a Saudi government backed company. It has been trying to lure away top golfers from the PGA Tour with huge cash incentives but has been unsuccessful. After Johnson’s statement, it is confirmed that all the top eight players in the world have officially committed to the PGA.

On Saturday, The Washington Post released a story that said that LIV Investments was in talks with Donald Trump, to use his golf courses for the newly formed league, including its New Jersey and Florida golf courses. They said that they had received the information from multiple sources who wished to remain anonymous.

It might be recalled that The WaPo journalist Adnan Kashoggi was brutally murdered reportedly by the Saudi regime who denied it and so did the former president Trump. Amnesty called the investment of the Middle Eastern regime in sports a type of “whitewashing.”

When asked for comment by multiple outlets neither LIV, nor Norman nor Trump representatives have responded.

After the January 6 riot in the Capitol in 2021, the PGA canceled its agreement of holding the 2022 PGA Championships at the Bedminister golf course in New Jersey, which is owned by Donald Trump. The Royal & Ancient also said that they would not consider any Trump golf course for future British Opens.

WhatsApp recently aired its first ad in the nation in January, during the NFL playoffs. Now, it is increasing its marketing strategy after signing a longterm deal with the star.

According to a report in Bloomberg, in an interview, Antetokounmpo said, “It is an app I use daily.” He also said that at the end of the day he made decisions on what made him happy and how he could help.

WhatsApp is a messaging service that is popular worldwide. It is a free app for messaging as well as video calling. The number of people who use the app around the world are reported to be over 2 billion. It is simple, easy to use and reliable. It is a secure service.

It is the most often used messaging service in India and Brazil. In the U.S., it faces competition with iMessage and Google message. Meta Inc. has roped in the NBA star to level the playing field in the nation.

The NBA star has signed a longterm deal but financial terms were not shared. He will work with executives from WhatsApp on content and events as well as on community outreach. The first collaboration was at the NBA All-Star Game that was held on Sunday evening, at Cleveland.

Tom Holland’s Unchartered American box office numbers exceed expectations

0

Whether he wears a Spider Man suit or not, Tom Holland has shown that he can carry a movie to the top of the box office. His latest action adventure “Unchartered” is expected to gross more that $51 million in its long opening day weekend, which is Presidents’ Day weekend. On Friday, Sony Pictures said that the movie would gross about $44.2 million Friday to Sunday.

This opening puts “Unchartered” at the No. 1 position for the week. There is finally some positive anticipation after another of Holland’s movie Spider-Man: No Way Home had one of the biggest opening weekend, some time back. Another new opener “Dog” has also done modestly and is at the No. 2 position. The industry is heaving a sense of relief as the final toll of the pandemic finally seems to be receding.

Josh Greenstein, the President of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group said that the result reinforced what Sony bet on which is that audiences have an “appetite for the theatrical experience.”

“Uncharted” stars Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg along with Antonio Banderas and Sophia Ali. It is directed by Ruben Fleischer. It is based on a game that is popular on Sony PlayStation and there was some uncertainty whether audiences would go the theaters to see the film. However, it appears that they have, after the movie opened on 4,275 screens.

Paul Dergarabedian, who is a senior analyst at Comscore believes that Tom Holland is a megastar. So, it doesn’t matter whether he plays Peter Parker in “Spider-Man” franchise or Nathan Drake in “Unchartered.” He delivers a hit with his performance.

“Unchartered” has had a good start at the box office but it must be remembered that it has been a big budget film at $120 million. It has topped $100 million globally and will be released in China, in March, which could further boost sales.

Bieber postpones Las Vegas show after Covid positive result

0

Justin Bieber’s “Justice World Tour” scheduled to be held on Sunday at Las Vegas could not take place as the Canadian pop sensation has been infected by a mild case of Covid. The star was set to continue performing after he began the tour earlier in the week. The Baby singer tested positive on Saturday, according to a TMZ report. Unfortunately, this test result has temporarily cut short the tour at Vegas, on Sunday and rescheduled dates have been announced.

The T-Mobile Arena released a statement that said they unfortunately had to postpone Sunday’s show in Las Vegas as there had been positive Covid results in members of the Justice Tour family. It also said that although Justin was “hugely disappointed” the health and safety of crew members and fans was his first priority.

The statement mentioned the huge success of the San Diego, California leg of the tour where his performance began. It said that Justin would appear on June 28, 2022 in Vegas. The Sunday tickets would be valid for the rescheduled June show. Refunds, if required, would also be available at the point of purchase.

The Justice Tour had a scheduled third stop near Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday on February 22. Reports say that this part of the Justice Tour has also been postponed and will be rescheduled in late June 2022.

The 27-year old singer had scheduled the World Tour to support the launch of his fifth and sixth studio albums :Changes and Justice, the album after which the tour was named. Bieber was expected not only to tour North America but was also expected to tour the world including

Europe
Africa
Asia
South America
Oceania.

It is hoped that the recent setback that had disrupted the North America tour will not setback the dates of the rest of the world tour.

Trucker Heading to Jail. Canadian Police Arrest Remaining Covid-19 Protesters

0

Since Friday, police claim they have towed another 38 automobiles.
The gridlock reached a climax on Friday, when protestors allegedly assaulted policemen and attempted to remove their firearms, according to Ottawa police.

On Friday morning, city, provincial, and federal law enforcement officers launched an extraordinary operation to clear the streets of demonstrators, their trucks, and cars. More than 100 people were arrested on Friday, and 21 vehicles were towed, CNN reported.

The blockade caused economic hardship to industry as well as blue collar workers as huge automakers had to shut their plants as goods were prevented from reaching plants on both sides of the border.

The truckers created immense hardship to residents as well as to industry especially the automakers. On Friday, a judge ruled that the blockade should be removed by 7 p.m. that day. The decision came after a four and a half hour court hearing in the city of Windsor.

According to authorities, one individual was arrested after throwing a bicycle at a police horse, while more than 100 people were arrested and 21 vehicles were towed at the conclusion of the day.

Police issued a warning to demonstrators early Saturday morning.
More than a hundred checkpoints remain in place to keep more demonstrators out of the city.

Police in Ottawa say they made 47 arrests as they cleared downtown on Saturday, a day after a weeks-long protest became violent.

Several people have been charged in connection with the protests, which have developed from opposition to a trucker vaccine mandate to a dislike for all Covid-19 safety measures.

According to Ottawa Police, Patrick James King, of Red Deer, Alberta, was detained on Friday.

Chris Barber, a key leader and organizer of the “Freedom Convoy” protests, and fellow leader Tamara Lich were arrested on Thursday, according to Ottawa police, Newsweek reported.

Following a night in an Ottawa prison, Barber claimed his “organizing days are over.”

Vaccines have been easily available in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Europe and Israel. However, the U.S. has seen the spread of a huge amount of vaccine disinformation by what can be termed as media, both traditional and social. There is so much of vaccine disinformation available on news channels whose hosts have millions of followers as well as podcasters who also influence millions.

When these influencers on both traditional and social media invite experts who denounce vaccination and tout unscientific cures using drugs like ivermectin and more, then a huge swath of the population gets influenced by this misinformation.

Some people have spread wrong and false information that has led to so many deaths. Many so called “anti-vaxx” heroes went viral on social media for their stance and are hailed by millions for their courage and are praised for leaving jobs that ask for “vaccinated” employees.

Barber is accused with counselling to cause mischief, obstruction, and obstruction counselling, according to attorney Keith Wilson of The Globe and Mail.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, Barber was given bail and released on Friday night after spending the night in the Ottawa Police cellblock.

If Barber’s case goes to trial, the Crown Attorney Office in Ottawa is anticipated to seek a two-year prison sentence for criminal counts include “tormenting” the Canadian capital and inciting other protestors to engage in illegal behavior, according to the Ottawa Citizen, the outlet said.

Due to complications getting crowdfunded money, Barber has been authorized to help other truckers travelling in the same way pay for gas while he returns home.

Moiz Karimjee, the Crown Attorney for Ottawa, claimed the demonstration had had a substantial impact.

Protesters against vaccines whether in Canada or the U.S. or Europe get more coverage from media than vaccine drives and initiatives to stop or decrease the spread of COVID-19. The far right and the fringe elements get a lot of coverage and support as they protest.

The COVID-19 disinformation campaign may not be violent but it is more insidious as it is eating at the heart of democracy which is “of the people, for the people and by the people.” The people in democracies are being influenced by vaccine misinformation that is spread by the far right and fringe elements. People are losing both their lives and livelihoods. Vaccine hesitancy brought by misinformation might just be a weak aspect of democracy, as few experts can fight to prevent it as the ones who are hesitant say that mandates encroach upon personal freedom and the law of the land.

Dave Chappelle Goes Back To Netflix Despite Trans Controversy

0

Despite the fact that Chappelle would not be performing, the arrangement reinforces Netflix’s commitment to the controversial comedian.

A different comic will be featured in each stand-alone episode.

American stand-up comedian and actor, David Khari Webber Chappelle, known as Dave Chappelle, will executively produce four new Netflix comedy specials, months after the streaming giant came under fire for comments the stand-up comedian made in a previous project that targeted the transgender community.

“Chappelle’s Home Team,” the first of the new series, will be accessible to Netflix subscribers on February 28, according to a release, reported Bloomberg.

Both were criticized in October after Chappelle’s comedy special “The Closer” included jokes about gender-neutral pronouns and statements about trans-women’s genitalia.

The 48-year-old was criticized in October for featuring a lengthy anti-trans part in his Netflix program ‘The Closer’. In support of J.K. Rowling’s anti-trans statements, he declared himself “team TERF” (trans-exclusionary radical feminist)” and boasted of attacking lesbians.

Chappelle’s content was supported by Netflix, citing “creative freedom.”
Employees had expressed their displeasure with the show’s release, and several staged a protest at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters.
Netflix has stated that it promotes open debate.

Notably, Netflix suspended (and later reinstated) three employees in connection with the case one of whom is trans.

A pregnant Black trans woman who organized an employee walkout protest was also fired by the streamer for allegedly disclosing info about the special to the press.

Earthquake (actual name Nathaniel Martin Stroman) is the first to be featured, and his special, Earthquake: Legendary, begins on February 28.

Donnell Rawlings will be the subject of another special.

All of the featured comics have been doing stand-up for at least 30 years, which is something they all have in common.

The streamer’s most popular draw is comedian Dave Chappelle. However, his most recent Netflix special, The Closer, garnered widespread condemnation from the media and many of his fans for the comic’s extended treatment of the transgender movement, which was deemed transphobic by many.

According to Bloomberg News, “The Closer” cost Netflix $24.1 million, more than its previous record-breaking show Squid Game.
Chappelle’s specials are the most popular on the platform, with a prior episode attracting nearly 24 million views.

In April, Chappelle will perform at the Hollywood Bowl as part of Netflix’s forthcoming comedy event “Netflix Is A Joke.”

Judge Allows Lawmakers To Prosecute Trump

0

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta

The order by U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta in Washington authorizes three cases filed by Democratic members on Capitol Hill and two U.S. Capitol Police officers against former President Trump and other militia groups, such as the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, and Warboys, to continue forward. Trump was allegedly participating in a civil conspiracy to sabotage the election, according to the lawsuits, The Wall Street Journal said.

A federal judge ruled on Friday that a landmark series of lawsuits against former President Donald Trump can move forward over his actions leading up to the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol, ruling that his status as president at the time does not protect him from being held accountable in court for his role in the events that led to the attack on the US Capitol, reported CNN.

According to her 112-page opinion, Trump’s January 6 Rally Speech could also be viewed as an appeal for collective action and denial of immunity from civil damages “is no small step.”

Judge Mehta, who was appointed by President Barack Obama, also dismissed several of the claims against Trump’s associates and family members, saying that the plaintiffs could not proceed with their claims against Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his son Donald Trump Jr.

The former President’s actions were channelized towards efforts to remain in office for an additional term. They were “unofficial acts”, hence did not justify “broad immunity.”

Judge Mehta specifically found that Mr. Trump’s comments to “fight like hell” and other exhortations uttered immediately before telling them to “go down Pennsylvania Avenue” were potentially inciting remarks.

Prosecutors and civil litigants can seldom establish that speech rises to the level of incitement in the United States since political speech is afforded some of the broadest protections under the law, he said.

His decision also allows Trump to be sued for carelessness, aiding and abetting assault, and a variety of other claims.

Trump’s lawyers said that Trump’s address before the disturbance on Jan. 6 was protected by the First Amendment and delivered as part of his official duties, for which presidents are normally immune from legal consequences.
Both arguments were rejected by Judge Mehta.

Trump was successful in getting a number of the claims rejected on a limited basis, and all of the claims against Giuliani and the younger Trump were dismissed outright.
The central issue in all three charges, is whether Trump and several groups who backed him broke an obscure post-Civil War law known as the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871.

If the verdict is not overturned on appeal, Trump may be held accountable for financial damages related to the attack if he is found liable at trial, the outlet said.

Will Kanye West face criminal charges for alleged attack on fan in LA.

0

Last month, Kanye West allegedly attacked a fan in Los Angeles, California. TMZ reported that that they were told by sources in law enforcement that the investigation against the Donda rapper was almost complete. Although Ye was not interviewed as he said that he was busy, the officials have obtained information from video and from witnesses. The cops also think that there is enough evidence to charge him but that decision will be taken by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

Kanye allegedly punched a person who was seeking his autograph close to the Soho Warehouse in DLTA. The video shows a man laid on the street. Kanye is seen shouting at people who seem to be working for him. Those earlier reports of the altercation also said that the man’s nose had been broken, reportedly by the rapper.

After the investigation is completed and the report is submitted to the Attorney’s Office, Los Angeles City law officials can decided one among the three outcomes:

File charges against him
Reject the case
Call all the concerned parties and find a solution such as attending anger management classes etc.

Although it may be days or even weeks before we know whether criminal charges will be applied, the rapper is also facing a lot of other anger management issues as he lashes out at many people on social media, in these past few weeks.

Kanye has been trying to reconcile with ex wife Kim Kardashian who had filed for a divorce last February. The reality star has since moved on with comedian Pete Davidson of Saturday Night Live (SNL) fame and is reportedly happy, according to sources close to her, but he hasn’t moved on, although he dated Julia Fox, for a while.

Kanye also posted a black and white photo of himself. He captioned the Instagram post which read: “There are two kinds of people People on my team or losers.” His list of losers is weird as it reportedly contains people who have passed away decades ago as well as cartoon characters.
