Warning- Graphic Language Below

Comedians are always under fire for jokes people find offensive. Now, yet another backlash has surfaced about comedian Ricky Gervais’ Netflix Special “SuperNature.” It was only streamed briefly. Gervais uses strong subjective material that the trans community would find offensive.

In the first minutes Jarvis dives into hardcore jokes about the trans communitywhich drew alot of controversy.

“Oh, women!” “Not all women, I mean the old-fashioned ones. The old-fashioned women, the ones with wombs. Those fucking dinosaurs. I love the new women. They’re great, aren’t they? The new ones we’ve been seeing lately. The ones with beards and cocks. They’re as good as gold, I love them. And now the old-fashioned ones say, ‘Oh, they want to use our toilets.’ ‘Why shouldn’t they use your toilets?’ ‘For ladies!’ ‘They are ladies,  look at their pronouns! What about this person isn’t a lady?’ ‘Well, his penis.’ ‘Her penis, you fucking bigot!’ ‘What if he rapes me?’ ‘What if she rapes you, you fucking TERF whore?’”

Mom Arrested for Killing Son; Body with Bullet Injuries Found in Car Trunk

0

A mother who was granted custody of her 6-year-old boy, whose body was discovered in the trunk of her bloodied car, was charged with his death in a Minneapolis suburb.

Eli Hart’s body was discovered in the trunk of his mother’s Chevy Impala during a traffic stop in Mound, Minnesota, on Friday morning. After Thaler was pulled over in Mound, police say they discovered the boy’s body. The youngster was shot up to nine times, according to the criminal complaint.

Julissa Thaler, 28, of Spring Park, has been accused in the death of Eli Hart in Hennepin County with second-degree deliberate murder. Orono police nabbed her early Saturday morning. Police said that they pulled down a car near Shoreline Drive and Bartlett Boulevard on Friday morning after a caller reported a damaged rear window and a blown tyre.

Officers noticed what looked to be blood on Thaler’s hand, as well as a shotgun shell, a spent shell casing, and a bullet hole in the rear seat, according to the criminal complaint. The child’s body was discovered in the trunk of the vehicle when cops checked it before towing it. A shotgun was also discovered inside the trunk, according to the complaint.

The last two years of Eli Hart’s life, according to court filings, were dominated by a custody dispute between Thaler and his biological father, Tory Hart. Eli Hart was placed in family foster care in January 2021, according to records, after worries about his mother’s mental health escalated. Her criminal background and living situation were also a source of concern.

Eli’s father filed multiple complaints regarding Thaler’s drug and mental health issues but was ignored by the courts, reports said.

Tory Hart was reportedly trying to gain custody of his child at the time, according to family members. Despite the allegations, Thaler was granted full parental custody only 10 days before Eli’s death.

Celebrity Matthew McConaughey speaks about his hometown Texas High School Shooting

0

Celebrity Matthew McConaughey is originally from the small, picturesque town of Uvalde, Texas. The celebrity actor and politician has some healing words and insight to the tragic Uvalde, Texas high school shooting that occurred May 24, 2022.

On Tuesday, an 18-year old shot at kids at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas. Nineteen kids from grade four and two teachers of the same grade were killed, in the same classroom at Robb Elementary when he opened fire. The young man, identified by Governor Greg Abbott as Salvador Ramos, opened fire using an AR-15. He had bought the gun legally, on his 18th birthday.

President Joe Biden condemned the shooting and asked for stricter gun laws. Biden said it was time to translate “pain into action.” He ordered flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the dead.

The young man shot children under the age of 11, one of whom was trying to call 911 on her phone. The heroic young girl was identified as Amerie Jo Garza. When she tried to call 911, he shot her instead of trying to destroy the phone or take it away from her.

Ramos had shot at his grandmother before he began his rampage at Robb, Elementary in Uvalde, Texas. He was stopped by a Border Patrol agent who was guarding a nearby post. He rushed to the school and shot the 18-year old. Although he was wounded, the agent managed to walk out of the school.

We could use some insight and healing from this message below.

Celebrity Kate Moss Ex-Girlfriend Denies Abuse, Johnny Depp Refutes Attempt to Remove Heard from ‘Aquaman’

0

On Wednesday, celebrity actress and Johnny Depp’s former girlfriend, Kate Moss, took the stand as the first rebuttal witness in the defamation suit filed by the actor against his ex-wife.

The British model denied that Depp had ever pushed her, kicked her, or tried to throw her down the stairs, as ex-wife Amber Heard claimed. She said that she slid down the stairs and hurt her back and Depp helped her to her room and got medical help.

Actress Amber Heard opened the door to Moss’ testimony when she claimed that at a violent argument, she feared Depp would push her sister down as he had done the same thing earlier with Moss. Johnny Depp was observed beaming as he watched his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss testify on his behalf during his defamation case against Amber Heard.

Dr. Shannon Curry, a clinical and forensic psychologist, questioned Heard’s expert, who diagnosed her with PTSD. She claimed that Dr. Hughes had falsified the tests and data that she used in her evaluation.

Taking the stand as the next witness, Johnny Depp faced Heard’s lawyer Meyers who questioned him on the part of Heard’s evidence in which she claims Depp did not help her earn the role of Mera in Aquaman. Depp replied that was not true, shooting down claims he tried to oust Heard from Aquaman.

The actor recalled the moment a vodka bottle thrown by Heard cut his fingertip. He said that the second bottle Heard hurled at him had severed his finger and showed the court the text he had sent to his doctor. He admitted to having used MDMA “six or seven times” in his life but denied ever taking ten pills at once.

Things got heated between Depp and Rottenborn during cross-examination when the lawyer questioned Depp about a series of negative texts allegedly sent by Depp, reports said. Depp claimed that the texts were to his personal assistant Stephen Deuters.

Meanwhile, Judge Penney Azcarate denied TMZ’s emergency motion to intervene to prevent a former employee Tremaine from testifying.

Andreessen Horowitz bets big on Web3 with $4.5 billion fund, a16z invests despite crypto turmoil

0

Although the past few weeks have seen all cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, ether and others losing their sheen and falling to low levels including stable coins, one firm is betting big on the technology–block chain behind cryptocurrency. Andreessen Horowitz also known as a16z is investing $4.5 billion in Web3 as it is confident that blockchain technology will see greater success in future.

Andreessen Horowitz has decreased its size as it has scaled down on its deals, these past few years. However, it has made a huge commitment in this round of investments on Web3. This is more than double the size of its last crypto fund.

The firm is showing a strong interest in promoting crypto startups. It said that one third of the $4.5 billion investment will be exclusively set aside for seed deals. The last deal by a16z called Crypto Fund III came into force less that a year ago with an investment of $2.2 billion.

Recent changes including competition from crypto-native firms such as Paradigm and Electric Capital might have been the impetus for the mega investment as these firms have also raised massive funds and are now in the position to challenge the dominance of a16z.

Crypto Fund IV is under Chris Dixon. He has vociferously defended Web3 on Twitter even if it involved heated debates with seasoned entrepreneurs and investors. The crypto debated reached a crescendo after the collapse of the Terra ecosystem. Its stablecoin UST collapsed and burst like a bubble. Many skeptics have compared all crypto currencies to a bubble that would eventually burst.

TechCrunch asked Arianna Simpson of a16z whether the cooling of the crypto market would have an effect of sending traditional firms away from betting on crypto. Simpson said that it was likely that other firms would pull back but “the size of their new fund” spoke of the “excitement and belief” the firm had on Web3 and block chain technology.

Teen Texas shooter kills 19 children and two adults including young girl as she tries to call 911

Wounded children were taken to two hospitals, one in San Antonio, where the shooter’s grandmother has been admitted and the other in the city of Uvalde. Authorities say that the death toll is expected to rise.

Salvador Ramos had a troubled childhood as his mother is allegedly a drug addict. He was bullied in school for several reasons including having “gay” tendencies, poverty and more. He dropped out of school and worked at a Wendy’s where workers described him as “quiet.”

President Joe Biden condemned the shooting and asked for stricter gun laws. Biden said it was time to translate “pain into action.” He ordered flags to fly at half-staff in honor of the dead.

R.I.P.

Republican senator Ted Cruz of Texas repeated the usual response that restrictions on “constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens” that could prevent mass shootings “doesn’t work.” He said that armed officers must be placed at school campuses. Abbott, the governor of Texas and Cruz have been listed as speakers later this week at a forum held by the National Rifle Association in Houston, Texas.

Ellen DeGeneres Indicates on Show that Celebrity Actress Jennifer Lawrence’s Baby is ‘a Boy’

0

The Ellen DeGeneres Show is noted for its humorous host, celebrity comedian Ellen DeGeneres, and its conversations with various Hollywood A-listers. Ellen may have mistakenly revealed that celebrity actress Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, have given birth to a baby boy during a recent edition of the show.

The actress and her art gallerist husband have kept the gender of their child a secret.

On Monday’s episode of the show, Ellen talked to Jennifer over the phone because Jennifer could not be there in person, as she was taking care of her baby.

When DeGeneres stated that she lived next door to and accidentally spilled the beans, saying that she sees her with a brand-new baby and applauded Lawrence’s parenthood path. Then she mentioned that she occasionally heard her conversing with him…, announcing the baby’s gender to the world on-air.

The actress and the host reside next to one other, as Lawrence owns DeGeneres’ previous home. The two seem to have definitely spent time talking about important aspects of their life, and Ellen is close enough to be aware that Jennifer and Cooke’s baby is a boy.

The actress, writer, and producer also joked that she had always imagined she would interview Lawrence on the toilet, but never knows when the latter was using one. Next, she asked the celebrity on the phone if she had ever considered being interviewed on the toilet by anyone else, to which Jennifer replied, “Oprah, certainly.”

The celebrity couple has been out of the public spotlight for a long time before being spotted in April of this year. Jennifer Lawrence never kept her pregnancy a secret, flaunting her baby belly at numerous public appearances and during the promotion of her Netflix film, ‘Don’t Look Up.’

However, she has never revealed the gender of her baby after she reportedly delivered in February. The baby is now about three months old, and now we all know, ‘Oh boy, it’s a boy.’

Astros battle Guardians in rubber game of series

In recording his sixth consecutive quality start, Astros left-hander Framber Valdez on Tuesday did what he has done for Houston throughout the first two months of this season: eat innings.

Valdez logged at least seven innings for a third consecutive start in the Astros’ 7-3 victory over the visiting Cleveland Guardians, a win that set up a rubber match of the three-game series on Wednesday.

Valdez worked his way out of trouble, a change from seasons past when adversity derailed him.

“Just seeing some of the work I’ve done with my psychologist Andy Nunez (has paid dividends),” Valdez said. “Just trying to stay calm, just breathe, working on things like that. Maybe if I’m anxious or upset, just try to stay calm and get back into the game.”

Right-hander Cristian Javier (2-2, 2.87 ERA) will start the series finale for the Astros on Wednesday.

He took the loss on Friday despite allowing one run on three hits and one walk, with a career-high-tying nine strikeouts over six innings in a 3-0 setback to the Texas Rangers. Javier is 0-2 with a 5.68 ERA over his last three appearances (two starts). He won his first two starts of the season, defeating the Rangers and Seattle Mariners after joining the rotation.

Javier has made two career scoreless relief appearances against the Guardians with two hits and one walk allowed, including four strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.

Right-hander Cal Quantrill (1-2, 3.48 ERA) has the starting assignment for Cleveland on Wednesday.

Quantrill is winless over his last six starts, going 0-2 with a 3.47 ERA in that span with the Guardians losing five of those starts. Quantrill has not earned a victory since his season debut. He did log a quality start in his last outing, allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts over seven innings in the Guardians’ 4-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday.

Quantrill has yet to record a decision over three career appearances (one start) against the Astros. He has a 4.70 ERA while allowing four runs on nine hits and one walk over 7 2/3 innings.

In Tuesday’s defeat, Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez produced another individual performance worthy of lauding. Ramirez, who entered Tuesday leading the majors with 41 RBIs and fourth with a .985 OPS, finished 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. It marked his 11th multi-hit game of the season and eighth with at least two extra-base hits. He upped his OPS to 1.012.

It was the first Ramirez plate appearance that left an indelible impression. With two outs in the first inning, Ramirez quickly fell into an 0-2 hole against Valdez that included a foul ball on the second pitch. He proceeded to foul off seven pitches before driving the 12th pitch of the at-bat 388 feet to left field for his 11th home run.

Ramirez delivered an incredible, and memorable, display of plate discipline and patience.

“You know what? That was incredible,” Indians manager Terry Francona said. “That was as good an at-bat as you’re ever going to see.”

Behind Reid Detmers, Angels look to beat Rangers again

Reid Detmers will be back on the mound for the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night in Anaheim, Calif., to face the Texas Rangers, this time without as many eyes on him wondering what he might do for an encore.

Detmers threw a no-hitter on May 10 against the Tampa Bay Rays, but he followed that with a dud against the Rangers on May 17, lasting just 3 2/3 innings and giving up three runs on three hits and two walks.

“You have success one day and then the next day you don’t,” Detmers said. “That’s just how it is. You’ve got to learn from it. It’s just baseball.”

Angels manager Joe Maddon said it was evident early that Detmers simply wasn’t the same pitcher he was when he threw the no-hitter.

“He just wasn’t sharp,” Maddon said. “He wasn’t sharp at all. … It’s one of those things I say to myself, I tell (pitching coach Matt Wise), ‘It’s just not gonna work,’ and you’ve got to move it along.”

Detmers’ subpar performance may not have had anything to do with the pressure of following the no-hitter; it may have had more to do with the Rangers.

In two starts against Texas this season, Detmers has an ERA of 10.29. In five starts against the rest of the league, he has a 2.63 ERA.

Angels right fielder Taylor Ward was not in the starting lineup in Tuesday’s 5-3 win over the Rangers, still not ready to go after running face-first into the right-field wall while making a catch last Friday.

Ward had an MRI that showed no major damage, though he does have nerve irritation in his right shoulder, an injury that prevents him from throwing. He’s been cleared to hit, but Shohei Ohtani is the club’s designated hitter.

“The full strength isn’t back yet,” Ward said. “But I have enough to hold my positions hitting. Throwing, the concern is putting stress on the other areas of my arm. They don’t want to put any stress on those areas. So that’s why I can’t really start throwing yet. But the way things are progressing, it’s going slowly but it is improving, so we’re going to continue to take this day by day.”

Right-hander Glenn Otto (1-2, 5.55 ERA) will make his sixth start of the season for Texas, coming off a loss to the Astros his last time out even though he allowed just two runs in six innings.

He is 0-0 with a 9.45 ERA in two career starts vs. the Angels.

The Rangers entered the series against the Angels ranked ninth in the American League in runs scored but second in stolen bases.

Rangers manager Chris Woodward said the stolen base is a big part of his team’s offense, despite when things don’t go their way.

On Saturday against the Astros, Adolis Garcia was caught trying to steal third in the eighth inning of a one-run game. The Rangers lost 2-1.

“It’s something we preach every day,” Woodward said. “All day every day. It’s something we’ve done ever since I’ve been here. It’s probably one of my core philosophies of what I want our offense to look like.

“Games like (Saturday), it’s really, really important we wrap our arms around Adolis and say, ‘Hey.’ He even said right after, ‘OK, I’m never going to try that again.’ That’s his first reaction. No, that’s not it. We want you to do that. One hundred percent.”
