The Minnesota Vikings reportedly have identified at least six external candidates for their general manager vacancy.

NFL Network reported that the team has requested interviews with assistant general managers Dave Ziegler of the Tennessee Titans and Terrance Gray of the Buffalo Bills.

ESPN reported additional interview requests for assistant GMs RJ Gillen of the San Francisco 49ers, Chad Alexander of the Los Angeles Chargers, John McKay of the Los Angeles Rams and Nolan Teasley of the Seattle Seahawks.

Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski has served as the interim GM since the team fired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah on Jan. 30 after four years on the job.

Ziegler joined the Titans in 2025. He was the general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders from 2022-23 and worked in New England’s front office from 2013-21, winning three Super Bowls with the Patriots.

Gray has been with the Bills since 2017 and was promoted to assistant GM in May 2025. He worked as a college scout for the Vikings from 2006-16, overlapping with Brzezinski.

Gillen has moved from a scouting role to director of player personnel to assistant general manager last season in his 11 seasons with the 49ers.

Alexander was in the front office of the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets before joining the Chargers in 2024 as an assistant GM under Joe Horitz.

McKay was promoted to Rams assistant GM last year after 10 seasons with the team. He is the son of former Atlanta Falcons CEO Rich McKay and the grandson of former Southern California and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach John McKay.

Teasley has advanced from Seahawks scouting department intern in 2013 to assistant GM in 2023.
