Riley Greene had a two-run homer and two-run triple among three hits, leading the Detroit Tigers to a 6-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday in Arlington, Texas.

Kevin McGonigle supplied two hits and scored a run as the Tigers completed their road trip with a 5-1 record. Dillon Dingler, who like Greene and McGonigle was named to the American League All-Star team on Saturday, added a run-scoring single and scored a run.

Starting pitcher Casey Mize (4-5) allowed two runs and five hits in 6 2/3 innings to pick up the victory. Kenley Jansen recorded the last three outs for his 10th save.

Jake Burger and Ezequiel Duran hit solo homers for the Rangers. Brandon Nimmo drove in the other Texas run.

Kumar Rocker (2-7) was charged with three runs and five hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Texas had runners at the corners with two outs in the second. Mize got out of that jam by retiring Nicky Lopez on a groundout.

Mize paid for his mistake against Burger the next inning, as he hung a slider. Burger blasted it 447 feet over the left-center-field wall.

Detroit took the lead in the fourth. Kerry Carpenter had a one-out single before Greene clubbed a Rocker fastball 431 feet over the right field wall.

The Tigers increased their lead to 6-1 in the fifth. With one out, James Outman and McGonigle singled to put runners on the corners. Dingler followed with another single to bring home Outman. Carpenter reached on catcher’s interference to load the bases, and McGonigle scored on a Robby Ahlstrom wild pitch before Greene ripped a triple to center to bring in two more runs.

Texas scored a run in the bottom of the inning. Lopez had a one-out single and Joc Pederson walked. With two down, Nimmo — who was robbed of an extra-base hit by Greene earlier in the game — knocked in Lopez with an infield hit.

Duran homered off Drew Anderson in the eighth to make it 6-3.
