Carson Benge capped the first three-hit game of his career with the walk-off single in the 10th inning Wednesday for the New York Mets, who continued stirring with a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Luis Torrens struck out against Drew Anderson (1-1) before Benge singled home automatic runner A.J. Ewing to give the Mets their seventh win in 11 games — their best 11-game stretch since opening the season 7-4.

Brooks Raley (1-1) walked one in a scoreless top of the 10th.

Tyrone Taylor legged out the back end of a potential double-play ball to third as Mark Vientos scored in the second for the Mets. Bo Bichette laced a run-scoring single in the seventh to create a 2-2 tie.

Riley Greene went 3-for-5 for the Tigers, whom he put ahead in the first by hitting a two-run single to center. Dillon Dingler had two hits while Kevin McGonigle singled, walked twice and stole a base as Detroit fell for the seventh time in eight games.

Mets starter Christian Scott allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over 4 2/3 innings. The Tigers’ Framber Valdez gave up two runs on five hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings. He fanned seven.

The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first. McGonigle drew a leadoff walk and Dingler doubled off the glove of Benge in right field before both scored on Greene’s one-out hit.

The Mets cut the gap in half in the second. Vientos led off with a single, went to third on Brett Baty’s one-out single and scored on Taylor’s grounder to third.

New York built a game-tying rally with two outs in the seventh, when Valdez walked Torrens and gave up a single to Benge. Bichette greeted reliever Kyle Finnegan with a RBI single to shallow right.
