LGD Gaming, PlayTime, Yakult Brothers and Team Resilience advanced to the playoff quarterfinals by winning their decider matches at the Games of the Future event on Sunday in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The $1 million Dota 2 event features 16 teams divided into four groups for the opening double-elimination stage. All group-stage matches were best-of-three.

The second- and third-place sides from each group faced off in Sunday’s preliminary playoff round, and the fourth-place squads were eliminated.

The single-elimination playoffs will feature best-of-three matches until the grand final on Wednesday, which will be best-of-five. The winning team will earn $350,000.

Vici Gaming, Rune Eaters, GLYPH and Xtreme Gaming all advanced directly to the quarterfinals after winning their respective groups.

LGD Gaming earned the only sweep of Sunday’s decider matches, posting 36-minute and 33-minute wins on red to defeat Zero Tenacity. Yuma “Yuma” Langlet, a Nicaraguan/Belgian/German player, logged a 22-1-13 kill-death-assist ratio to lead LGD. For Zero Tenacity, Peru’s Joel “MoOz” Ozambela posted a 5-15-14 K-D-A ratio.

PlayTime dropped the opener in 56 minutes on red to Execration, but rebounded with 46- and 47-minute victories on green to advance. Abed “Abed” Yusop of the Philippines garnered an impressive 32-10-41 K-D-A ratio for the victors, while Eljohn “Akashi” Andales, also from the Philippines, paced Execration with a 33-17-29 KDA.

Team Resilience lived up to their name, bouncing back to win in 52 and 42 minutes on green after losing in 41 minutes on red to Yellow Submarine in the opening map. China’s Yang “Erika” Shaohan sparked the victors with a K-D-A ratio of 25-15-31. For Yellow Submarine, Alexander “Rain” Nekrasov of Russia collected a 33-14-24 K-D-A ratio.

Like PlayTime and Team Resilience, Yakult Brothers earned a spot in the quarterfinals despite falling in the opener. REKONIX won on red in 58 minutes, but Yakult Brothers answered with a 58-minute win on red before closing it out with a 34-minute triumph on green. Zhou “Emo” Yi led the way for the All-Chinese Yakult Brothers with a 32-12-45 K-D-A ratio.
