DOTA News: PARAVISION advance to grand final at DreamLeague Season 29

PARAVISION rallied for a 2-1 victory over Team Spirit on Saturday to reach the grand final at the $1 million DreamLeague Season 29 online event.

Team Spirit will play in the lower-bracket final on Sunday against Aurora Gaming, which took down Team Falcons 2-0 in the lower-bracket semifinal on Saturday. The winner of the lower-bracket final will face PARAVISION in the grand final.

Sixteen teams began the Dota 2 tournament on May 13. The top four finishers from Group A and Group B moved into the upper-bracket playoffs, with the fifth- and sixth-place finishers advancing to the lower bracket.

The double-elimination playoffs began Tuesday. All matches are best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final on Sunday. The winning team will take home $250,000 in player prize money, a club bonus of $40,000 and a minimum of 6,000 ESL Pro Tour points.

On Saturday, Team Spirit opened with a 27-minute win on red, but PARAVISION rebounded with back-to-back wins on green (25 minutes, 36 minutes) to pull out the victory. Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov of Russia led the way for PARAVISION with a 27-7-13 kill-death-assist ratio. For Team Spirit, Russian Denis “Larl” Sigitov posted a K-D-A ratio of 23-8-19.

Later, Aurora registered a 23-minute victory on green and a 44-minute win on red to complete the sweep of Team Falcons. Malaysia’s Chung “Ws” Wei Shen recorded an 18-6-28 K-D-A ratio to pace Aurora. Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf of Jordan turned in a K-D-A of 7-9-5 for Team Falcons.
