Celebrity Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform in Vienna this weekend. However, the Eras Tour shows in the capital of Austria have been canceled. Authorities said that they arrested two people in connection with terrorist plots to disrupt major events in the city. An event organizer posted about the cancellation on social media, and Taylor Swift’s team reposted the message.

On Wednesday evening, Barracuda Music, an event organization, posted that the Vienna shows of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour were canceled as government officials confirmed that a terrorist attack had been planned and more. The post also said refunds would be made available to web fans within the next ten business days, and the link for additional information was posted.

Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform at three concerts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna. About 65,000 web fans were expected to attend each show, and about 10,000 to 15,000 Swifties were also expected to gather outside the stadium to hear the multi-Grammy award winner sing and perform songs from the different eras in her tour.

Franz Ruf, the General Director for Public Security in Austria, said a 19-year-old Austrian citizen was arrested on Wednesday morning in Ternitz, Lower Austria province.

Ruf also said another arrest had occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Vienna, but the authorities had not provided any other details.

He also said that both the suspects had been radicalized through the internet and that the 19-year-old had made “an oath of allegiance” to the radical outfit Daesh, also known as Islamic State, in early July. Bomb-making materials were found at the home of one of the suspects.

Taylor Swift is expected to perform at Wembley Stadium in London, England, between August 15 and August 20. The city’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, said the authorities were prepared and that the shows would go on as scheduled.
