Celebrity K-pop singer Moon Bin, a member of the well-known boy band Astro, died at the age of 25; his death has shocked and saddened fans worldwide. The musician was discovered dead on Wednesday night in his residence in Seoul, South Korea. When attempts to reach the celebrity were unsuccessful, his manager apparently discovered him at home. Moon Bin’s record company, Fantagio, revealed his passing on Thursday, saying that he “suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.”
According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, although authorities are looking into the death, they have not found any evidence of criminal activity. Fans expressed their heartbreak over their idol’s death on social media, which flooded with condolences. The internet was rife with more than 2.6 million tweets with the hashtag #moonbin, in several languages — English, Tagalog, Spanish, Indonesian, and Thai. Videos posted on social media showed Astro’s signature colors of white and purple balloons as a memorial for the late star in Chile.

The pair was scheduled to play in Jakarta on May 13 and Busan next month as part of the port city’s efforts to promote the 2030 World Expo. Astro was a boy band of six that the agency formed in 2016.
