Manziel, 33, was a first-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2014 after winning the Heisman as a freshman sensation at Texas A&M in 2012.
He played in only 14 games in the NFL, all for the Browns. He went 2-6 as a starter from 2014-15, completing 57% of his passes for 1,675 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.
“Johnny Football” continued his pro career in the CFL with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Montreal Alouettes in 2018, with the Alliance of American Football’s Memphis Express in 2019, and with an indoor league called Fan Controlled Football from 2021-22.
Menery, 38, gained fame with parody sports broadcasting videos and hosts the “Full Send Podcast.” He is also listed as one of the owners of the Fan Controlled Football team that Manziel played for.
