South Carolina, Indiana, Stanford and Utah are projected as the four No. 1 seeds in the women’s NCAA Tournament, according to the final preview of the top 16 overall seeds Thursday night.

The NCAA women’s basketball committee released its second and final reveal of where the top 16 teams stood in their eyes ahead of the home stretch of the season.

In the first reveal Feb. 9, South Carolina, Indiana and Stanford occupied the top three seeds. Utah moved onto the fourth No. 1 line this time, and UConn fell from fourth overall to seventh.

The other No. 2 seeds joining the Huskies were LSU (fifth), Maryland (sixth) and Virginia Tech (eighth).

The four No. 3 seeds were Iowa, Notre Dame, Duke and Ohio State in the ninth through 12th spots overall. Rounding out the list were Texas, Villanova, Arizona and Michigan as the four No. 4 seeds.

Unlike the men’s tournament, the top 16 seeds host first- and second-round tournament games on their respective campuses.

Results through Wednesday were taken into consideration. South Carolina was the lone unbeaten team in college basketball, men’s or women’s, and was on its way to winning 73-60 over Tennessee — third place in the SEC — Thursday night to improve to 28-0 (15-0 SEC).

Stanford and Utah are ranked Nos. 3 and 8, respectively, in this week’s AP Top 25 poll. Each team had just three losses entering Thursday, and they are scheduled to play their season finale Saturday in Salt Lake City with the Pac-12 regular-season title potentially on the line.
