The White House said on Tuesday that the Trump administration strongly supports a bill to repeal regulations requiring internet service providers to do more to protect customers’ privacy. The United States Senate just voted and passed a bill that will allow Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to sell your internet browsing history. It passed in the Senate 50-48.  The data is labelled “anonymous” and may remove identifiers like email address and physical addresses entered in web forms and other variants to try and scrub some of that personally identifiable information. You will be able to see from the data that a person searched for song lyrics, if cooking a whole turkey in the microwave is possible, how many points does a utensil have to have before you can call it a fork, etc.

The report claims that Paul Manafort proposed to Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska “a confidential strategy plan as early as June 2005 that he would influence politics, business dealings and news coverage inside the United States, Europe and former Soviet republics to benefit President Vladimir Putin’s government, even as U.S.-Russia relations under Republican President George W. Bush grew worse,” reported Jeff Horwitz and Chad Day.  Oleg Deripaska is one of Russia’s most powerful oligarchs and very close to Putin. From 2006 to 2009, Deripaska paid Manafort $10 million a year apparently to lobby for Russia within the highest levels of the US government.

Vance, Jr. announced the indictment of James Jackson, 28, who is being charged with first and second-degree murder as an act of terrorism, as well as second-degree murder as a hate crime and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. ”  “James Jackson prowled the streets of New York for three days in search of a black person to assassinate in order to launch a campaign of terrorism against our Manhattan community and the values we celebrate,” Cyrus R. Vance Jr., the district attorney for Manhattan, said Monday in a statement.”

Uber has decided to switch off its engines in Denmark.

In a press conference today, Uber announced that April 18 will be Uber’s last day of operations in Denmark and access to its app will be closed nationwide. The government’s recent new taxi law and Danish demands for fair transport has turned out to be the final straw. Uber has a lot more ventures and profit in other countries so this will not effect any of their business.

Today Payment company Square Inc. announced that it has officially launched within the United Kingdom, bringing its popular Square Reader to small and medium businesses within the UK Square’s UK debut marks the company’s first European launch, but its products are already available in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Australia.  Square Inc (SQ.N), the payments company led by Twitter Inc (TWTR.N) Chief Executive Jack Dorsey, has launched in the United Kingdom in its first European foray. The San Francisco-based company said on Tuesday that small-and medium-sized businesses in the U.K. would be able to use Square’s credit card reader to accept payments on mobile devices.

With the beta launch of the AmazonFresh Pickup today, Amazon will give customers the ability to order groceries, drive up to an AmazonFresh location, and have the food delivered to their trunk. Orders can be filled in as little as 15 minutes, according to a video announcement from Amazon.  This will make it easier to go grocery shopping! I don’t have to spend time walking around the store for few items.

Tencent  now own’s about 8.2 million shares in Tesla.  “Tencent, has been accumulating stock in the electric car company for a total 5% passive stake worth over $2.2 billion at the current price.”  Tesla Inc said on Tuesday that Chinese tech giant Tencent Holdings Ltd has invested $1.78 billion in the electric carmaker for a 5 percent stake. Tencent, best known for its WeChat mobile app, has been investing in a number of sectors, including gaming, entertainment, cloud computing and online financing.
