The Seattle Reign announced the signing Monday of forward Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic through the 2025 season.

The 33-year-old Swiss veteran returns to the NWSL, arriving from Atletico Madrid for an undisclosed transfer fee.

She previously was in the league from 2018-19, tallying six goals and four assists in 32 matches (26 starts) for the Portland Thorns.

“A stalwart for her National Team and an experienced international player, including time here in the NWSL, Ana-Maria brings a wealth of experience and talent to our club,” Reign general manager Lesle Gallimore said. “Her ability to play in multiple attacking roles, combined with her knowledge and football acumen, makes her a player who can immediately impact the group in a positive way. We’re eager to integrate her into the club.”

Crnogorcevic played one season at Atletico Madrid following four seasons at Barcelona, where her side finished first in Liga F all four seasons.

“I’m so happy to return to one of the top leagues in the world and join the Reign, a team with a strong history of success in this competitive environment,” Crnogorcevic said. “I’m looking forward to arriving in Seattle soon and can’t wait to get started with the team.”

Internationally, Crnogorcevic is Switzerland’s all-time leader in caps (159) and international goals (74) among men and women.
