No. 10 Baylor breezes to 62-point win over Delaware State

Aijah Blackwell and Bella Fontleroy posted double-doubles Thursday afternoon as No. 10 Baylor breezed to a 99-37 victory over Delaware State in the final women’s basketball game at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.

Both players finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds and the Bears (8-0) outscored the Hornets (2-8) by a 33-9 margin in the fourth quarter.

Sarah Andrews scored 12 points and Madison Bartley, Yaya Felder and Jana Van Gytenbeek each added 10 for Baylor, which posted a 53-10 edge in bench points and a 64-27 rebounding advantage.

Tyshonne Tollie and Ja-Naiah Perkins-Jackson scored 10 points apiece to lead the Hornets, who shot 21.1 percent from the field and 13.3 percent (2 of 15) from 3-point range with 21 turnovers.

Baylor never trailed and led 37-17 at halftime.

The Bears move into the Foster Pavilion in the new year.
