Brock Purdy completed 15 of 27 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown Sunday to help the San Francisco 49ers end a two-game losing streak by beating the visiting New England Patriots 30-13.

Purdy tossed a 12-yard touchdown pass to tight end George Kittle in the second quarter. He also had a pass intercepted in the end zone by Jabrill Peppers in the fourth.

San Francisco’s Jordan Mason carried the ball 24 times for 123 yards and a touchdown, and caught two passes for 37 yards. The 49ers’ other TD came when linebacker Fred Warner intercepted a Jacoby Brissett pass and returned it 45 yards for a score in the first minute of the second quarter. Warner left the game late in the second quarter with an ankle injury.

San Francisco’s Jake Moody kicked three field goals (22, 26 and 41 yards).

The 49ers (2-2) led 6-0 after one quarter, 20-3 at halftime and 27-10 entering the fourth.

New England (1-3) received a 5-yard TD pass from Brissett to tight end Austin Hooper with 12:05 remaining in the third. Hooper’s TD came after the 49ers fumbled away the second-half kickoff. Joey Slye’s extra point trimmed San Francisco’s lead to 20-10.

Slye kicked two field goals, including a 63-yarder as time expired in the first half. He also made a 54-yarder early in the fourth.

The 49ers answered Hooper’s TD by scoring on their ensuing drive when Mason found the end zone from 4 yards away with 10:08 left in the third. The TD capped a four-play, 70-yard drive that included a 53-yard pass from Purdy to Deebo Samuel (three receptions for 58 yards).

San Francisco had six sacks in the win, including 2 1/2 by Kevin Givens. New England has allowed 13 sacks in its last two games.

New England running back Rhamondre Stevenson was held to 43 yards rushing on 13 carries fumbled for the fourth consecutive game.
