In the fresh and imaginative coming-of-age story “My Old Ass,” an 18th birthday mushroom trip brings free-spirited Elliott (Maisy Stella) face-to-face with her wisecracking 39-year-old self (Aubrey Plaza).

This surreal encounter takes Elliott on a journey of self-discovery and reflection as her older self starts handing out warnings about what she should and shouldn’t do.

Through these comedic and poignant exchanges, Elliott realizes she must rethink everything about family, love, and the transformative summer she is experiencing.

Maddie Ziegler and Kerrice Brooks play Ruthie and Ro, Elliott’s loyal friends who add depth and humor to the story.
