The MLB-leading Los Angeles Dodgers made a pair of pitching transactions on Monday to reinforce their staff.

The Dodgers reinstated right-hander Evan Phillips while optioning right-hander Paul Gervase. As part of this transaction, left-hander Jake Eder was released. The Dodgers also added right-hander Carlos Duran to the 40-man roster while designating catcher Chuckie Robinson for assignment.

Phillips is coming off Tommy John surgery and has not pitched since May 5, 2025. In seven outings last season, Phillips had 5 2/3 scoreless innings along with six strikeouts. During his 12 minor league rehab games for Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, Phillips had 13 strikeouts with a 1.80 ERA in 10 innings.

Gervase has bounced between the Dodgers and Oklahoma City this season. In his limited time with the Dodgers, Gervase has amassed a 2.35 ERA in 7 2/3 innings over four appearances.

Duran has played in 30 games this season for Oklahoma City (one start), sporting a 2-2 record along with a 3.86 ERA. Duran has notched 50 strikeouts while allowing a .203 batting average in 35 innings. Duran made his major league debut last season on May 22 as a member of the Athletics vs. the Los Angeles Angels, giving up three runs in one-third of an inning.
