Jacob “Cobo” Clause, a 19-year-old from Indio, Calif., posted a 42-19 win over Henry “Henry” Leverette, the highest-earning Madden player of all time, to capture the Madden 24 Harvest Challenge championship on Tuesday.

Cobo earned his first Madden Championship Series title belt while competing in his third major. He rode a virtual Joe Montana to the win.

“I for sure think I should have more respect,” Cobo said. “My worst finish in the past two years was a win-and-get-in, so that’s pretty far in each tournament. … I feel like I’ve earned my respect, especially with a belt and beating Henry. People shouldn’t, like, doubt that I’m one of the best.”

Henry, a 20-year-old from Chicago, has more than $800,000 in MCS earnings.

In the semifinals on Tuesday, Cobo got past Nakell “Someserious” Powell 20-14 after Henry topped Eric “Tootenacious” Hoffman 21-8.

Someserious, a 31-year-old from Memphis, and Tootenacious, a 25-year-old from Ellington, Conn., were both competing in their third MCS major.

The championship was worth $30,000 to Cobo from the $125,000 prize pool. Henry received $20,000 as runner-up, while Someserious and Tootenacious each made $10,000 as semifinalists.

The next MCS major is the Madden 24 Zero Chill on Sunday.
