Australia’s Hannah Green made four birdies on the front nine and held a two-stroke lead Friday at the BMW Ladies Championship when play was suspended for the day in Paju, South Korea.

Persistent rain showers throughout the day finally left the Seowon Hills course at Seowon Valley Country Club unplayable. None of the 78 players in the field completed the second round, which will conclude Saturday morning before the start of the third round.

Green is at 12 under par overall through 27 holes.

South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai was 2 under at the turn when action was halted, leaving her in second place at 10 under.

New Zealand’s Lydia Ko (3 under through 13 holes on Friday), Denmark’s Nanna Koerstz Madsen (3 under through 11), South Korea’s Hye-Jin Choi (2 under through 10) and South Korea’s Jenny Shin (even through nine) are tied for third place at 8 under.

Seven players, including the United States’ Ryann O’Toole (4 under through 14), share seventh place at 7 under.

Green, 27, birdied the par-5 first hole, then added consecutive birdies at Nos. 4, 5 and 6. She is searching for her third victory of the season, but she has never finished higher than a tie for 10th in four prior starts at the BMW Ladies Championship.

Buhai, 35, logged four birdies on the front nine but carded a double-bogey 7 on the par-5 eighth hole. She is looking to win a tournament for the third year in a row.
