T1 completed a 3-0 sweep of Karmine Corp on Monday to advance to Round 4 of the play-in stage at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational in Daejeon, South Korea.

T1 completed the Round 2 wins in 31 minutes, 35 minutes and 27 minutes. Karmine Corp dropped to Round 3 to face Team Liquid, with the winner meeting T1.

The play-in stage runs through Wednesday, with four teams competing in a double-elimination bracket. Teams are seeded according to results from the First Stand Tournament and are playing best-of-five matches. The eventual winner goes to the bracket stage, an eight-team tournament that provides a $2 million prize pool including a $500,000 check for the first-place finisher.

Soo-hwan “Peyz” Kim led T1 with 30 kills against Karmine Corp, which got 13 kills each from Chang-dong “Canna” Kim and Martin “Yike” Sundelin.

Team Liquid swept into Round 3 by eliminating Deep Cross Gaming, winning in 34, 33 and 25 minutes on Monday.

Brandon Joel “Josedeodo” Villegas and Hyeon-seung “Quid” Lim paced Team Liquid with 19 kills each. Three players had 10 kills in a losing effort for DCG.
