A Mexican living in Texas killed five of his neighbors, including an eight-year-old boy, who had urged him to stop practicing gun safety in his yard. He is now on the run. In Cleveland, a community north of Houston, 38-year-old Francisco Oropeza was accused of opening fire to his neighbors at 11.30 p.m. yesterday. He has been urged to put down his firearm by a family of 10 who shares a home and was attempting to put a newborn to sleep.
According to San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers, authorities charged Oropeza with five charges of murder and were looking for him early on Saturday morning. He claimed that the authorities thought he was two miles away and were trying to catch him.

In the Cleveland, Texas, home at the time of the shooting were ten people—all members of the same family were together. According to Capers, four people died: a male, an 8-year-old boy, and three women. Three children and five were the other survivors.
According to Capers, Oropeza routinely fired his gun in his yard and allegedly lost his cool when the neighbors said their infant was trying to go sleep around or after 11 p.m. Oropeza was captured on camera approaching the victims’ front door and then entering, according to the authorities. He claimed that all five victims had been shot in the head. In a bedroom, two of the dead ladies were discovered lying on top of the living little children, “trying to protect them,” Capers said by phone from the site.
According to reports, Capers has informed that police have located Oropeza and are hoping that he will be taken to jail soon. The suspect, according to the sheriff, was found by police 1.2 miles west of the scene of the crime.
Capers added that 50 to 75 law enforcement officers are in the area looking for Oropeza and that a perimeter has been established up in the wooded region. According to authorities, the Texas Department of Corrections has deployed a team with canines, law enforcement on horses, and a drone in the air to help with the apprehension of Oropeza.
