Yum! Brands (NYSE:YUM) reported its Q3 results, with EPS of $1.09 coming in worse than the Street estimate of $1.16.
KFC drove an overall consolidated comp beat, helping to offset lighter-than-expected Taco Bell comps (TB company margins, however, impressively remain above 2019 levels). Net new unit growth, meanwhile, remained strong (up 6%, ex-Russia impact), and should remain a key area of investor focus into the company’s December investor day.
Guidance remains largely intact and continues to point to stronger Q4 core operating profit growth.
