Third seed Coco Gauff completed a stellar performance at the Mubadala Citi DC Open by topping fourth seed Maria Sakkari of Greece 6-2, 6-3 in the final on Sunday in Washington.

Gauff, 19, became the youngest champion in the event’s history and the third American woman to win the singles title, following Jessica Pegula (2019) and Sloane Stephens (2015).

Gauff also captured her fourth title on the WTA tour — the first teenager to win at least that many since Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki, now 33 years old with 30 singles titles.

The American did not lose a set in the tournament en route to her second title this season. Gauff, the No. 7 player in the world, dispatched Sakkari (No. 9 in the world) in one hour, 24 minutes.

Gauff led the tournament with 25 aces, including seven on Sunday to one for Sakkari. Gauff converted six of 10 break points, compared to three of four for Sakkari.

Livesport Prague Open

After rain moved Saturday’s semifinals back a day, the tournament will require a Monday finish following more weather delays on Sunday in the Czech Republic.

The semifinal between Japan’s Nao Hibino and Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian was suspended with Hibino leading 6-4, 6-7 (2), 5-2.

In the other semifinal completed in just 65 minutes, fourth seed Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic crushed Germany’s Tamara Korpatsch 6-1, 6-1.

Noskova converted six of seven break-point opportunities against the unseeded Korpatsch and saved five of six break points. Noskova won 22 of 34 (64.7 percent) of her first-serve points, to 12 of 27 (44.4) for Korpatsch. Second serve was even more lopsided, with 10 of 17 (58.8) for the winner and 2 of 16 (12.5) for her opponent.
