Utah rode long-range shooting and LA Sneed’s team-high 15 points off the bench to a 71-64 upset of No. 22 West Virginia on Tuesday in Salt Lake City.

The Utes (15-6, 6-3 Big 12) shot 10 of 18 (55.6%) on 3-point attempts, to just 2 of 12 (16.7%) for the Mountaineers. Utah also had a 17-10 edge in bench points as Sneed was 5-for-6 from the floor, including 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.

Lani White added 14 points, Chyra Evans added 12 and Reese Ross collected 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Utes, who never trailed and led by as many as 18 points.

West Virginia (17-5, 7-3), which had won three straight, was led by Jordan Harrison’s game-highs of 18 points, eight assists and seven steals. Gia Cooke contributed 11 points and Carter McCray had 10.

No. 14 Baylor 82, Houston 66

Darianna Littlepage-Buggs sank 10 of 11 field-goal attempts, scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Bears defeated the Cougars in Waco, Texas.

Bella Fontleroy amassed 17 points and 12 rebounds while Taliah Scott contributed 14 points as Baylor (19-3, 8-1 Big 12) earned its eighth consecutive win. The Bears shot 52.5% from the floor and compiled a 41-25 rebounding advantage.

Amirah Abdur-Rahim and Kyndall Hunter each scored 17 points, but they couldn’t prevent Houston (6-14, 0-9) from losing its ninth straight game. Briana Peguero chipped in 14 points and seven assists.
