Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer tied former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski for the most wins in college basketball history Friday as the eighth-ranked Cardinal blew out visiting Oregon 88-63.

Vanderveer, 70, now has 1,202 victories and can become college basketball’s all-time winningest coach Sunday when Stanford hosts Oregon State.

Vanderveer has coached Stanford for 38 seasons after stints at Idaho and Ohio State. She has guided the Cardinal to three national titles and 14 Final Fours.

“It’s just a tribute to the great teams I’ve had, the great places I’ve worked,” VanDerveer said on the Pac-12 Network broadcast after the win. “I just want to say It’s been really exciting because so many people have reached out to me. I think it’s great for women’s basketball that there is a lot of attention and we are having just a super season.”

Kiki Iriafen registered 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead Stanford (16-2, 5-1 Pac-12), while Talana Lepolo (13), Nunu Agara (12), Elena Bosgana (11) and Brooke Demetre (10) also scored in double figures. Lepolo dished out a game-high eight assists.

The only downside for Stanford was losing Cameron Brink, their top scorer and rebounder, to a first-quarter knee injury.

Chance Gray paced Oregon (11-8, 2-4) with 19 points, and Phillipina Kyei added 14 points.

The Cardinal hit 51.4 percent of their field-goal attempts while limiting the Ducks to 39.7 percent shooting.

No. 5 UCLA 76, No. 3 Colorado 68

The Bruins pulled away from a fourth-quarter tie with a 16-5 run and emerged with a win over the Buffaloes in Boulder, Colo.

The result ended Colorado’s nine-game winning streak.

Kiki Rice’s 3-pointer gave the Bruins (15-1, 4-1 Pac-12) a 63-60 lead with 4:38 to play, and UCLA was on top the rest of the way. Lauren Betts scored five consecutive points to put UCLA up 70-62 with 1:42 left, and a subsequent 6-0 Bruins surge sealed the outcome.

Charisma Osborne led UCLA with 22 points, while Betts (20 points, 13 rebounds) and Angela Dugalic (11 points, 13 boards) each had a double-double.

Jaylyn Sherrod topped Colorado (15-2, 5-1) with 17 points. Frida Formann added 16 points, and Aaronette Vonleh and Quay Miller each scored 10 points.

No. 20 Utah 78, No. 6 Southern California 58

Alissa Pili matched her career high with 37 points as the Utes routed the Trojans in Salt Lake City.

Pili hit 13 of 16 shots from the floor, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. She also had 37 points last month in a loss to No. 1 South Carolina.

Matyson Wilke scored 12 points for the Utes (13-5, 3-3 Pac-12), who have won two in a row after a two-game skid.

JuJu Watkins put up 26 points and McKenzie Forbes had 11 for the Trojans (13-2, 3-2), who had a three-game winning streak end.

USC held its lone lead at 3-2 after a 3-pointer by Kayla Padilla. Utah led by seven points after one quarter, by nine at halftime and by 17 after the third period. The margin topped out at 21 in the fourth quarter.
