Azzi Fudd poured in 28 points on 6-of-10 shooting from 3-point range, Sarah Strong added 16 points and 13 rebounds and No. 7 UConn steamrolled No. 4 South Carolina 87-58 on Sunday in Columbia, S.C.

Paige Bueckers tallied 12 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds in a supporting role and Kaitlyn Chen scored 10 points as the Huskies (24-3) won their third straight game since losing another nonconference game at Tennessee earlier this month.

It marked the end of South Carolina’s 71-game home winning streak and UConn’s four-game losing streak against the fellow women’s hoops power.

UConn went on a 13-0 run spanning the first and second quarters to gain a 31-14 advantage and led by double figures the rest of the way. The Huskies outrebounded the Gamecocks 45-29 and shot 46.4 percent from 3-point range, outscoring the hosts 39-9 beyond the arc.

Joyce Edwards led the Gamecocks (23-3) with 17 points and five boards off the bench, MiLaysia Fulwiley scored 11 points and Te-Hina Paopao had 10. South Carolina, named the No. 2 overall seed in the women’s selection committee’s bracket preview earlier in the day, has dropped two of its past three games.

No. 1 UCLA 75, No. 22 Michigan State 69

Janiah Barker recorded an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double and the Bruins closed the game on a 7-0 run to defeat the Spartans in Los Angeles.

Timea Gardiner also had 18 points for UCLA (24-1, 12-1 Big Ten), which was coming off its first loss of the season on Thursday to Southern California. The Bruins trailed 69-68 after the Spartans’ Theryn Hallock sank a pair of free throws with 2:14 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Michigan State (19-6, 9-5) led by as many as four in the final frame. Hallock finished with 19 points, while Julia Ayrault contributed 18.

No. 3 Texas 65, No. 5 LSU 58

Madison Booker put up 16 points and 10 rebounds and the host Longhorns rallied from down 12 in the third quarter to topple the Tigers in Austin, Texas.

Both teams shot exactly 21-for-63 from the field, but Texas went 21-for-21 from the foul line while LSU missed six of its 19 attempts. In the fourth quarter, the Longhorns flipped the margin by shooting 8-for-12 from the floor while holding the Tigers to 3-for-16.

Taylor Jones racked up 12 points and eight rebounds and Rori Harmon had 10 points, including two critical jumpers in the last 2:26, as Texas (26-2, 12-1 SEC) became the first team to beat top-10 opponents in three consecutive games since 2004-05 Rutgers. Mikaylah Williams had 18 points, Flau’jae Johnson scored 16 and Aneesah Morrow bundled 15 points with 20 rebounds for LSU (25-2, 10-2).

No. 6 Southern California 69, Washington 64

Kiki Iriafen went for 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting, lifting the Trojans to a victory over the Huskies in Seattle.

JuJu Watkins was held somewhat in check, making 5 of 14 shots from the floor en route to 17 points, but Southern California (23-2, 13-1 Big Ten) outscored the hosts 30-21 over the final 10 minutes to pick up the win.

Sayvia Sellers racked up 24 points as Washington (14-12, 5-9) dropped its third straight game.

No. 8 Kentucky 84, Georgia 55

Georgia Amoore’s 21 points led all five Wildcats starters in double-figure scoring in a rout of the visiting Bulldogs in Lexington, Ky.

Teonni Key paired 14 points with 14 rebounds, Dazia Lawrence scored 15 points and Clara Strack and Amelia Hassett added 14 apiece for Kentucky (20-4, 9-3 SEC), which rebounded from a pair of losses Monday and Thursday.

Trinity Turner scored 22 points to pace Georgia (10-16, 2-10), which fell behind 30-15 after one quarter and never recovered.

No. 12 North Carolina 66, No. 10 North Carolina State 65

Grace Townsend made two free throws with five seconds remaining to push the Tar Heels past the visiting Wolfpack in a back-and-forth battle in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Reniya Kelly had a game-high 23 points and Maria Gakdeng and Lexi Donarski each added 10 for North Carolina (23-4, 11-3 ACC), which won its fifth straight game and handed rival NC State (20-5, 12-2) its first loss in 10 games. For the Wolfpack, Aziaha James had 16 points while Saniya Rivers (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Madison Hayes (13, 11) notched double-doubles.

NC State used a 10-0 run to take a 60-54 lead with 2:43 to play. Donarski and Kelly made 3-pointers to bring North Carolina closer before the Tar Heels scored the last six points of the game, four by freshman Lanie Grant before Townsend’s foul shots.

No. 11 TCU 85, Arizona 73

Sedona Prince racked up 22 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, Aaliyah Roberson scored 18 points off the bench and the visiting Horned Frogs defeated the Wildcats in Tucson, Ariz.

Madison Conner also had 18 points and Hailey Van Lith chipped in 11 as TCU (24-3, 12-2 Big 12) shot 55.9 percent from the field, with 21 assists on 33 made baskets.

Skylar Jones went for a career-high 30 points, drilling all four 3-pointers she attempted, and Paulina Paris added 14 points and six assists for Arizona (15-12, 6-8). Lauryn Swann had 12 points.

No. 15 Tennessee 80, Ole Miss 71

Jewel Spear tied her season high with 28 points on 9-of-11 shooting (5 of 7 from deep) and the Lady Volunteers outlasted the visiting Rebels in Knoxville, Tenn.

Samara Spencer compiled 13 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as Tennessee (19-6, 6-6 SEC) won for the fourth time in five games. Zee Spearman collected 14 points and eight boards and Talaysia Cooper went for 11 points, six rebounds and six assists as the Vols outshot the Rebels 52.5 percent to 35.9 percent.

KK Deans had a season-high 22 points for Ole Miss (17-8, 8-5), while Tameiya Sadler scored 14, Kennedy Todd-Williams had 11 and Madison Scott netted 10.

No. 16 Oklahoma 82, Missouri 66

Payton Verhulst had 15 points to lead five Sooners in double figures in a road win over the Tigers in Columbia, Mo.

Skylar Vann (14), Lexy Keys (13), Zya Vann (11) and Sahara Williams (10) contributed to the steady scoring as Oklahoma (19-6, 7-5 SEC) trailed by as many as nine in the first half before pushing ahead with a 25-10 third quarter.

Ashton Judd scored 13 points while Laniah Randle and Grace Slaughter each scored 12 for Missouri (13-14, 2-10), which was outrebounded 36-23.

No. 19 Georgia Tech 73, Wake Forest 62

Kara Dunn scored nine of her 22 points in the fourth quarter as the host Yellow Jackets pulled away from the Demon Deacons in Atlanta.

Georgia Tech (21-5, 9-5 ACC) led by as many as 15 early before Wake Forest (8-17, 1-13) rallied to within one point midway through the third quarter. Malaya Cowles gave Wake its only lead at 54-53 at the 8:49 mark of the fourth quarter before Georgia Tech got away, with Dunn contributing back-to-back 3-pointers.

Tonie Morgan and Dani Carnegie each scored 14 points for the Yellow Jackets. For Wake, Rylie Theuerkauf had 20 points and Raegyn Conley and Demeara Hinds added 12 apiece.

No. 23 Florida State 83, Miami 82

Makayla Timpson completed a 22-point, nine-rebound afternoon by hitting the go-ahead fadeaway jumper in the paint with less than three seconds left to push the Seminoles past the host Hurricanes in Coral Gables, Fla.

O’Mariah Gordon had a career-high 34 points with seven assists for Florida State (20-6, 10-4 ACC), which led by as many as 10 before watching the hosts charge into the lead in the fourth quarter. The rivals traded the lead five times with five ties in the final three minutes.

Miami star Haley Cavinder racked up 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, including two free throws with nine seconds left to put the Hurricanes (13-12, 3-11) on top. Jasmyne Roberts (16), Natalija Marshall (15) and Cameron Williams (12) also finished in double figures.
