Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong combined for 50 points to power undefeated No. 1 UConn to a 90-64 win over No. 11 Iowa in the Champions Classic in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon.

Fudd finished with 27 points and sank five 3-pointers, while Strong piled up 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Huskies (12-0). True freshman forward Blanca Quinonez added 10 points and five assists off the bench.

It was a wire-to-wire win for UConn, which led 11-3 just past the midway point of the first quarter and 22-8 late in the frame. The Huskies were outrebounded 34-25, but forced 26 turnovers and converted them into 41 points.

Hannah Stuelke had 17 points for Iowa (10-2), and Chit-Chat Wright added 16 points, including four 3-pointers. The Hawkeyes made 8 of 17 threes (47.1%).

No. 3 South Carolina 105, Florida Gulf Coast 43

Joyce Edwards and Marina Okot both secured double-doubles to push the Gamecocks past the host Eagles in Fort Myers, Fla.

Edwards scored at least 25 points for the fourth consecutive game, finishing with 29 points and 10 rebounds for South Carolina (12-1). Okot piled up 27 points and 12 rebounds, and Ta’Niya Larson added 15 points. The Gamecocks outscored the Eagles 74-10 in the paint.

Sinai Douglas had 14 points for FGCU (3-6). The Eagles shot just 26.9% from the floor and lost the rebounding margin 51-18.

No. 4 UCLA 106, Long Beach State 44

Lauren Betts and Gabriela Jacquez scored 17 points apiece as the Bruins rolled past the Beach in Los Angeles.

Kiki Rice added 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Sienna Betts scored 14 points and Gianna Kneepkens chipped in a double-double of 10 points and boards in the lopsided victory for UCLA (11-1). The Bruins never trailed, outscored the Beach 56-20 in the paint, and piled up 30 assists.

JaQuoia Jones-Brown had 10 points for Long Beach State (0-10).

No. 9 TCU 77, Kansas State 55

Olivia Miles scored a season-high 29 points as the undefeated Horned Frogs pulled away from the Wildcats in Fort Worth, Texas in the Big 12 opener for both teams.

Marta Suarez scored 20 points, and Clara Silva provided a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for TCU (13-0, 1-0 Big 12). The Horned Frogs shot 50.9% from the field and outscored the Wildcats 44-26 in the paint.

Jenessa Cotton and Taryn Sides each scored 10 points for Kansas State (7-7, 0-1).

No. 13 Vanderbilt 96, Texas Southern 46

Justine Pissott scored a career-high 25 points to lead the undefeated Commodores over the Tigers in Nashville, Tenn.

Mikayla Blakes added 23 points for Vanderbilt (12-0), and Aga Makurat chipped in 13 points. Aubrey Galvan dished out a game-high 11 assists. Vandy led wire-to-wire and scored 28 points off 23 turnovers by the Tigers.

Taliyah Logwood paced Texas Southern (3-8) with 11 points, while Jordyn Marshall scored 10.

No. 16 Louisville 89, No. 17 Tennessee 65

Tajianna Roberts scored 18 points to lead the Cardinals to a victory over the Volunteers in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Roberts, who also had five assists and five rebounds, was one of six players to score in double figures for the Cardinals (12-3). Imari Berry added a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Reyna Scott scored 12 points. Louisville dominated inside, winning the rebounding margin 59-37 and outscoring Tennessee 52-38 in the paint.

Zee Spearman collected 18 points and 12 rebounds and Talaysia Cooper chipped in 14 points for Tennessee (7-3).

No. 25 Princeton 71, George Mason 69

Ashley Chea sank a 10-foot jumper with two seconds to play in overtime to lead the Tigers over the Patriots in Fairfax, Va.

Chea finished with 11 points, six rebounds and five assists for Princeton (11-1) in its ninth consecutive win. Madison St. Rose led the Tigers with 19 points, while Olivia Hutcherson scored 17.

George Mason (6-6) was led by 18 points from Zahirah Walton and 17 points from Kennedy Harris. The Tigers outscored the Patriots 17-4 on fastbreaks.
