Crooks finished with 23 points and Hannah Belanger, who added two free throws with 10 seconds to go, contributed 15 points for Iowa State (12-4, 5-0 Big 12).

Dre’una Edwards had 19 points and Jada Walker posted 14 for the Bears (14-2, 3-2). Walker made two foul shots with 31 seconds left to give Baylor a 63-62 lead before Crooks’ layup.

Sarah Andrews missed a potential tying 3-pointer on the game’s last shot for Baylor, which led 37-29 at halftime and was coming off a 21-point loss at Kansas on Wednesday.

No. 12 Kansas State 61, No. 10 Texas 58

Ayoka Lee scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, and the host Wildcats never gave up the lead in a tight fourth quarter in Manhattan, Kan.

Serena Sundell added 12 points and Jaelyn Glenn had 10 points for Kansas State (17-1, 5-0 Big 12), which has won 11 straight.

Madison Booker’s 23 points and Aaliyah Moore’s 15 points paced the Longhorns (16-2, 3-2). Texas, which entered on a three-game winning streak, shot 35.5 percent from the field, making only two of 11 shots on 3-pointers.

Paige Bueckers poured in 22 points and the visiting Huskies pushed their winning streak to 10 games by beating the Red Storm in New York.

Aaliyah Edwards scored 16 points, Ashlynn Shade tallied 13 and Nika Muhl 11 for UConn (14-3, 6-0 Big East), which shot 64.4 percent (38 of 59) from the field.

Reserves Jailah Donald had 11 points and Ber’Nyah Mayo 10 points for St. John’s (10-8, 4-2), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

No. 24 West Virginia 76, Central Florida 59

JJ Quinerly poured in 21 points and Jordan Harrison scored 19 points as the Mountaineers snapped a two-game skid with a road victory in Orlando.

Lauren Fields added 13 points for the Mountaineers (14-2, 3-2 Big 12), who overcame a 42-30 rebounding deficit.

Kaitlin Peterson and reserve Morgan Robinson-Nwagwu each had 18 points for the Knights (9-6, 0-5), who were charged with 26 turnovers and shot only 28.6 percent (14 of 49) from the field. The Knights were 2-for-14 on 3-pointers.

Robinson-Nwagwu was 14-for-15 on free throws. West Virginia made 13 of 17 foul shots.
