Both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones have been nominated for the Grammys. Although these popular Brit bands have previously won these prestigious awards, they are considered golden oldies by some and are still nominated for iconic awards.

The Beatles have won seven Grammy awards, including their first win over half a century ago. For A Hard Day’s Night, a timeless classic track, they won Best New Artist of 1964 and Best Performance by a Vocal Group.

The Fab Four have earned two nominations for their latest song, Now and Then, their last. The Beatles and celebrity new and established singers such as Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift have been nominated for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance.

Paul McCartney called Now and Then “the last Beatles song.” John Lennon wrote the track, which features original vocals recorded by Lennon in 1970 that have been preserved using artificial intelligence. Lennon died in 1980.

The new, last track by the Beatles features new instrumentation by the two surviving Beatles: Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Now and Then also includes a guitar recording by George Harrison from the 1990s. Harrison died in 2001.

The Grammy nominations also feature another iconic rock band, The Rolling Stones, who have already won three Grammy awards. They won their first one in 1978 for Some Girls. Mick Jagger, Keith Richardson, and Ronnie Wood released Hackney Diamonds in 2023. It has been nominated for Best Rock Album.

Will classic and iconic rock and rollers take home a Grammy or two? Web fans wonder! CWEB says to wait and watch!
