Celebrity Kevin Hart’s plant-based restaurants have abruptly announced the closure of all their locations on social media. The CEO of Hart House also released a statement to a popular outlet confirming the closure. Many web fans have been wondering why these popular restaurants have been closed.
CWEB thinks that running restaurants at a time when many Americans have cut down on dining out is no joke, and the American comedian and his team might have realized this fact. More than 75 restaurants have closed in Los Angeles, and hundreds have closed nationwide this year.
CEO Andy Hooper released the following statement to Eater, Los Angeles:“The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved and for their unwavering support of Hart House.”
A social media post read, “ Thank you,” followed by a green heart emoji: “To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved. A Heartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter.” The page also posted a burger photo with “Thank you” written across it.
The Southern California-based fast food chain that helped promote a vegan lifestyle with its plant-based burgers and other products closed all its locations in the Golden State. The first of its four locations debuted in August 2022 in Westchester, Los Angeles, followed by the second in Monrovia in November 2022, and the third in June 2023 at University Park.
Flagship Hart House location debuted online in May 2023. It was the first drive-thru located on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, and it was expected to be the first among many more quick-service restaurants (QSR).
Comedian Kevin Hart embraced a plant-based lifestyle and opened Hart House, which focused on affordable and healthy food. Employees were paid higher wages, health care, and several perks, and the restaurants provided plant-based burgers, fries, tots, “chicken” sandwiches, and nuggets for vegan web fans.
Although the restaurant chain has not provided a reason for its closures, CWEB says the most probable answer is that the operation might have become financially unsustainable.
