Celebrity actor, singer, and dancer Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman was at the Oscars looking glamorous with a radiant blush, full lashes, smoky eye shadow, and glossy lips. With her flawless makeup that hinted at the professional touch, the Euphoria star surprised everyone when she revealed she had done the makeup all by herself.
Zendaya also uploaded a selfie of herself attending the Vanity Fair Oscar party, and it appeared that she had done her makeup for the ensuing afterparty as well.
Sci-fi adaptation Dune harnessed the Oscar power on Sunday night with ten nominations, by taking home Oscars for cinematography, editing, visual effects, score, production design and sound. In Dune, Zendaya plays Chani, a weird woman that haunts Paul Atreides’ (Chalamet) dreams. Atreides is an aristocrat who has taken over dominating the desert world of Arrakis.
The Dune star has made her stand as a real fashion icon, thanks to a major award and a new Valentino collaboration. Looks like there is nothing she cannot pull off; from the variety of haircuts she has tried over the previous few years to her well-documented predilection for gigantic suits.
The 25-year-old is reportedly one of the best young performers working today. She became the youngest person to ever win the Best Actress Emmy Award for her role in the HBO/Sky Atlantic series Euphoria, which returns for its second season on Monday.
In this complicated teen drama about addiction, sexuality, and coming of age, she has played Rue, a sensitive addict who has been traumatized by her past. Rue appears to be on the verge of ecstasy all of the time. All of Rue’s sufferings and conflicts are captured in Zendaya’s portrayal of her love for the new girl in school (Hunter Schafer). The most impressive aspect of her performance, however, is how casually she conveys the gravity of addiction.
Zendaya became the highest-grossing female actor of 2021 thanks to the high-profile roles — Spider-Man: No Way Home, Dune, and her voiceover role as Lola Bunny in Space Jam 2. Even in a film as glittery as Hugh Jackman’s The Greatest Showman, in which she played a lovestruck acrobat who falls for Zac Efron, she stands out, her inherent magnetism dominating the A-listers surrounding her.
