Celebrity Jennifer Hudson joined a select group of artistes who are EGOTs after she won an award for “A Strange Loop” at the 75th Tony Awards held on Sunday. EGOTs are artists who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony award. She gained the prestigious title after she won a Tony award as a producer for the film. It won the Best Musical award.

In 2006, she won an Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Supporting Actress in Dreamgirls.
In 2009 she won a Grammy for Best R&B for her self titled album and for the Color Purple cast recording in 2017.
She won an Daytime Emmy as executive producer of a 2020 VR short called Baba Yaga. She also starred in the film.
In 2022, she won a Tony as one of the producers of the film A Strange Loop.
Jennifer Hudson is the 17th person to join the exclusive group of people who have won awards in all the top four competitive American awards. The celebrity singer-actress is the second black woman to become a part of this select group of artistes, the first one being Whoopi Goldberg.
