According to documents filed on December 12, by US Marshall Services, celebrity reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have been ordered to report to two different federal prisons, in Florida, on January 17, 2023. The couple who became popular for starring in the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best”, were convicted for committing tax crimes, in June 2022.
The reality show celebrity couple were found guilty of, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the IRS and, tax evasion.
They inflated their net worth in order to obtain over $30 million in loans. They also paid less than the required tax. Julie Chrisley faced additional charges of wire fraud as well as obstruction of justice.
In November, Todd Chrisley was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and three years of supervised release. He has been ordered to serve his prison term at FPC Pensacola. It is a minimum security facility and is located in Pensacola, Florida.
Julie Chrisley was given a 7-year prison term, with three years of supervised release. She has been ordered to serve her prison term in FCP Marianna SCP. It is a medium security federal correctional institution. It has an adjacent minimum security satellite camp and is located in Marianna, Florida.
Both the prisons are at a distance of approximately 130 miles (about two hours by a vehicle) and are located in Florida’s Panhandle.
Todd and Julie Chrisley appeared in nine seasons of the popular reality show “Chrisley Knows Best.” They began shooting episodes for the tenth season, before their trial. These episodes are expected to be aired in 2023. However, the future of the show has not as yet been decided, according to reports. Fans are waiting for the news.
The couple plan to appeal their sentences. Meanwhile their 25-year old daughter Savannah said that she will gain custody of her 16-year old brother Grayson and 10-year old niece Chloe, who was adopted by Todd and Julie Chrisley, while they remain in prison. However, Chloe’s birth mother wants to regain custody of her daughter.
