It’s good news for those of you have already used Walmart’s earlier Google TV box as the giant retailer has come up with a new and better version. For those of you who are looking for a reasonably priced box, with basic features, it soon might be time to buy the Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Box. It is expected to be reasonably priced.

Walmart has launched its new streaming device at a reported price of $19.88, according to preliminary reports. In 2021, the big box retailer had offered its own streaming gadgets called Onn TV box that offered 4K streaming and Android TV support. It is available for $30. The new version is said to be cheaper and offers minor upgrades.

Some of the features in the new Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Box are 2GB of RAM and internal storage of 8GB. It also has Wi-Fi 5. The sound feature is Dolby Audio, while the video output is 4K.

The device has AV1 decoding support due to its new Amlogic S905Y4 processor. This supports higher streaming video quality with the use of the same bandwidth or same video quality when using less bandwidth.

WMT

Walmart’s earlier streaming box had Android TV interface. However, the new device offers Google TV UI. Features supported could include the following:
Play Store support
Chromecast and
Integration with Google Assistant.

The remote control has a shortcut for Paramount Plus. Walmart Plus subscribers are offered Paramount Plus streaming services, after a partnership between the two national giants. So, the shortcut on Walmart’s remote is an added feature, this time.

This new streaming device is not as yet available on the giant retailer’s website nor has there been a notification about its launch date. However, it has been reported that this streaming device from Walmart will definitely be the cheapest in the market as its expected price is $19.88
