During the trial on Thursday, Jessica Kovacevic, celebrity Amber Heard’s WME agent, testified discussing the 36-year-career old’s relationship with Depp. She said that Heard should have become a major star after the release of ‘Aquaman,’ which grossed over $1billion in late 2018.

The agent claimed in her pre-recorded statement that despite attracting big money, Heard was almost fired from ‘Aquaman 2.’ Jessica said that Warner Bros. claimed Heard’s ‘lack of chemistry’ with her ‘Aquaman’ co-star Jason Momoa nearly got her fired.

During her famous defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp, fans have petitioned Warner Bros. for months to remove Heard from the superhero flick sequel. The petition to remove Heard was released in 2020 and has received about 4.3 million signatures since then.

Kovacevic addressed “online rumors” that Warner Bros. wanted to replace Heard in her pre-recorded deposition, as well as her belief that the studio wanted her out as Princess Mera owing to the negative publicity surrounding the acrimonious court dispute. She is said to have only approximately 10 minutes of screen time in the sequel, which will be released in March 2023.

Kovacevic added that the studio did not want to recruit someone who had “bad press.” This comes after Heard said earlier this week that she had to fight incredibly hard to protect her career during her feud with the Dark Shadows star.

In a pre-recorded deposition on Thursday, Ellen Barkin, who co-starred opposite Depp in 1998’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and later dated the actor, revealed facts about their relationship.

Barkin’s account of Depp’s “controlling” and “jealous” behavior during their relationship was introduced into testimony Thursday.

The Animal Kingdom star testified that the actor was “drunk… a lot of the time” during her association with him both professionally as a costar in the 1998 film and personally during a “sexual” connection.

She added that Depp was “always drinking and smoking a joint,” and claimed he was frequently “tripping” or under the effect of hallucinogenics. Depp was also often under the influence of cocaine; at least “dozens of times,” according to the Tony Award winner.

When asked about the bottle Depp allegedly hurled, she said she did not know why he tossed the bottle,” but that it was a “toss” across the room in the direction of her and others, and did not hit anyone.
