What a way to begin a Monday, with a new ice cream flavor! You might sweep away the blues with orange, green, yellow and red colored ice creams. No, it’s not only the colors that are attractive, it is also an offering of unique flavors offered by who else other than your favorite retail store in the nation. Walmart is offering a limited collection of flavors of Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, in-store, starting Monday, March 14.

The New York City cult ice cream brand is popular for both its dairy and vegan brands. It began its sales in a food truck in the Big Apple. Its flagship mac and cheese ice cream sold out within a few days after it was released as a limited edition product.

In a press release on Thursday, Walmart also said that the company uses high quality as well as simple ingredients. The ice cream flavors will come to the Walmart closest to you in 50 states of the nation. They will be available from Monday at 3,500 Walmart stores.

Walmart will sell the ice cream in pints for $4.98 each. The promotion will last for 10 weeks on a rotation basis. Later in summer, flavors would be refreshed.

Ben Van Leeuwen, the co-founder and CEO of the ice cream brand said in a statement that they had created a “collection of classic flavors.” The statement also mentioned that the company thoughtfully outsourced ingredients from local jam makers to cookie bakers who had a social mission. It also mentioned the use of wild blueberries in their ice creams.

The first seven unique flavors that will be offered include
Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Ice Cream
Planet Earth
Pizza
Hot Honey
Royal Wedding Cake
Bourbon Cherries Jubilee
Wild Blueberry Shortcake.

Walmart has always been at the forefront of new trends across various industries including food, finance, transport and more. Adding these unique ice creams to its stores in thousands of locations across the nation gives its customers an opportunity to experiment with unique ice cream flavors. Van Leeuwen Ice Creams also get huge exposure as it will be available in 3,500 Walmart stores across 50 states in the U.S.
