On September 12, tech giant Apple Inc., will launch its latest operating system called the iOS 16. This newest version lacks multiple features that will not be present during its official release. This is a recurring feature with the Cupertino giant as last year as well, certain features were not available during the initial release of its operating system the iOS 15, but were added in the subsequent months.
Last year, it took several months for these features to be added. Some of those features that took months to be available to the public in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 included SharePlay, Universal Control as well as Digital IDs in the wallet app.
Although Apple will be announcing the official release of its newest operating system, iOS 16, on Monday, it has been reported that the following features that were announced at WWDC, earlier in 2022 will not be a part of the operating system, as of now.
Some of the key features that are not expected to be included in the official release include the following:
Live Activities
Game Center Contacts Integration
Game Center SharePlay Support
Support for Matter
Freeform App
Updated Architecture for Home App
Key Sharing
iCloud Shared Photo Library.
During its “Far Out” event this week, when Apple launched iPhone 14 phones, Apple Watches and AirPods Pro, the company said that the iCloud Shared Photo Library Feature would also face a delay. The tech giant had already said that the other features mentioned above would be delayed at the WWDC, this year.
Apple Inc., has not given a timeframe and it is not known when these features will be added to iOS 16. The operating system has been in Beta testing from months. On September 12, every compatible iPhone owned by the public will be able to download iOS 16 on their devices.
