Midfielder Weston McKennie will make his return to the U.S. men’s national team in June after missing time with a broken foot.
McKennie was one of 27 players that coach Gregg Berhalter named to the USMNT roster for four matches in June — two friendlies on home soil and two CONCACAF Nations League matches.
McKennie suffered the injury while playing in Italy for his club, Juventus. It caused him to miss the final qualifying window for the 2022 World Cup, though the Americans were able to punch their ticket to the tournament despite his absence.
McKennie, 23, has made 31 appearances and scored nine goals for the senior national team.
The U.S. will host Morocco in Cincinnati on June 1 and Uruguay in Kansas City, Kan. on June 5 for a pair of friendlies. Then the Americans will face Grenada on June 10 and El Salvador on June 14 as part of the CONCACAF Nations League competition.
Malik Tillman, a Bayern Munich midfielder, was chosen to the USMNT roster for the first time after being approved to change his association from Germany to the U.S. Defender Joe Scally and forward Haji Wright are also in line to earn their first caps for the national team.
