Britney Spears and Donatella Versace have known each other from decades. On Friday, the Italian designer visited the American pop star, in her home. In November, Britney Spears had posted that her wedding dress would be designed by Versace, after she got engaged to longtime boyfriend, Sam Asghari. All three of them took pictures and a video and Britney posted them on Instagram.
Britney captioned the photos stating: “Look who came to visit…these two bad b****es are up to no good. Way back in 2002, in a joint interview, both of them praised each other. Britney had said that Donatella Versace had let her stay in her home and it was “like a dream come true being here right now.”
Donatella said that she felt “very honored” that 20-year old Britney was at her show. She described Britney as extremely “multi-talented as she sang and danced and said that she had reached a success that “nobody has before.”
Britney was touched by the kind words and said that she was flattered and called Donatella “sweet” and thanked her for letting her into “her home” and also said she was “so nice.”
Back to 2022, two decades later, the three of them–Donatella, Britney and Sam had wide smiles as they posed for pictures. There was also a short clip that showed the designer and the pop princess posing side-by-side. Sam posted “Versacney” suggesting that there could be a collaboration. The pictures were taken in their home.
All the three stunners dressed in different styles. While Sam sported a casual look with a white T-shirt and jeans, Donatella Versace looked vibrant in a lime green top paired with pink bell bottoms. Britney wore two different outfits in the pictures: one with a printed crop top with puffed sleeves and in the other she wore another printed crop top.
Britney Spears and Donatella Versace have known each other from the early 2000’s. Britney has been a fan of Versace and Donatella, the sister of founder Gianni Versace, posted a flashback photo last May, of both of them taken in 2002. She captioned the post, “This flashback is from when she came to my show in 2002, looking glamorous in Versace. Britney donned a one-shouldered gown that was filled with multi-colored sparkles.
The designer added that she would never forget the time the “Baby One More Time” singer had stayed with her. She also described the singer as “magical.”
A Versace wedding gown for the 40-year old pop star will not be the first time Britney will be dressed by Versace. In 2001, she wore a green dress by the design house when she performed with Michael Jackson. In 2008 she wore a set of silver dresses as she accepted three MTV Music Awards.
